edit again, Rooney gets a hella lot of shit but he was a baller, and not up she own arse. He was sensational at times and works his arse off. Only thing was Fergie knew it and played him out of position a lot. When u have a player like Rooney play him where done best, CF.

I think it was his first Euros and he made men, when he was a teenager look like boys. Again it wasn’t his out right pace, it was his turn of pace and strength at such a young age. If I had to take prime Roony over prime Kane, honestly I’d take Rooney.

Best teenage wonderkid we've ever seen in the PL/England.

Just bullied players twice his age and was a genuine phenomenon at that time.

He was even better than Cristiano at that age.

Problem is one looked after themselves the other didn't.

And yeah, Fergie sacrificed Rooney a bit to get the best out of Ronaldo, although I think he got back to being the main striker when Ronaldo left.

Season before lampard they came 6th and semi finals of play-offs, under Lampard they came 6th and runners up in play offs.

Season before in cups out in 2nd and 3rd round, under Lampard 4th and 5th.

That’s hardly failure.
He actually effectively improved them across the board in only his first season.

They also played some nice football.
You can look at positions but I followed the championship those seasons because I have a family of Leeds fans. The season before, under Rowett, they were in play off positions all season, as they had previously, they brought Lampard in because they wanted to.push for automatic promotion and they barely made the play offs. Derby fans were pretty disgruntled that season

Son's gaffer Ruben Selles heavily linked with Hull City.

Be a huge loss for Reading, who are literally on life support as it is, and he has managed that team superbly given they have hardly any players and having to play kids week in week out.

Can't blame the bloke, but will be a massive loss, especially as he literally just promoted my son to the first team too!

Genuinely took me a second to realise you were talking about your son and not Heung-Min. I was propper confused for a second.

Deeply unsurprising. I remember his tactics were being lauded last season as if he'd come up with counter-attacking but I've never seen what's special about him. It's fairly obvious the players abandoned him at the latest a couple of weeks ago, what with the post-match stroppiness the last few matches.

So Oxford have sacked their manager for the crime of ... winning promotion and having a squad that isn't really up to standard in the Championship.

They're in poor form but still above the drop. Seems unbelievably short sighted and my Oxford mate is horrified.

Dane doesn't seem to have any luck with his loans.

Wolves owners: sell our best players to clubs like West Ham, fire the manager our fans aren't calling to be sacked, bring in a guy whose currently 8th in the Saudi league

Also Wolves owners: why are the fans booing us?
