McKenna supposedly signing a new contract with Ipswich. Great news for them. Knowing football he’ll be lauded for his loyalty and then get sacked in December if they’re in the bottom 3.

Chelsea going for Maresca and Utd sticking with ETH would be excellent news from our pov. De Zerbi and Poch being out of work would only make Bayern’s appointment of Kompany more bizarre.

Imagine getting promoted and losing your manager, instantly gives you bit of a hill to climb.

Oh well, at least it's Leicester.

Surely the Ipswich fans won’t be too pleased about that?

Other than the media linking him to every job, has there been anything to suggest he was actively going for them? Either way, the Ipswich fans will be delighted he's staying.

At least Maresca has championship experience for when they go down next year.

Sounds Chelsea ruled him out, rather than vice versa (as it’s been said they informed him he was no longer in contention). Brighton might be one which he has actually turned down as there was lots of talk that he was their top target and then they get linked elsewhere as news emerges of him signing a new contract at Ipswich.

So Chelsea giving Maresca a 5 year contract, longer than I think any manager has actually been at the club in recent memory. No doubt to help get around FFP accounting.

They had something good going with Poch and chucked it out the window to take a huge gamble on a 5 year deal. They just keep getting more and more stupid.

IMHO They had a chance with Poch next year- but now I can't see them higher than 8th- there I said it. It's gonna be very interesting that's for sure.
Still waiting to see what happens at Man Utd. It's a crazy time to be a manager with all of the uncertainty. Look at the fun n games BM had then got Kompany!
Hoping Ange's second season is what they hype says it will be.

I think Man United would be far better off with Poch or Tuchel, or even De Zerbi. Ten Hag says United can’t play like Ajax and wants to play transition football. Well if that’s the case Poch and Tuchel are both better at setting up a team in that way.

Chelsea want to play like Man City, so they’ve hired Pep’s cone-placer on a 5 year deal. Which also begs the question why they even hired Poch because he’s not that kind of manager.

They might know what they’re doing with the Dodgers but they’re seriously out of their depth in football and just flushing their money down the drain

They haven't had a manager lasting five years since Dave Sexton managed seven years 1967-1974.
