When he got MOM against Newcastle two years ago, that was the time to give him minutes and at least trust him a bit more or loan him out for a season to a lower PL team.

Instead he's had the very rare start every few months and it's seriously stunted his career. I think KWP seems like the type of lad so nice to not rock the boat but he should have been knocking on Poch's door last year demanding a real opportunity or loan. At the same time Poch and the club should have been fairer with him.

You want to give youth players as much time as possible but 3 years plus of hanging around the 1st team and only having 12 appearances is ridiculous

Cant blame KWP. Poch’s bullshit managing of his has seriously fucked him. Desperately needed to be played and trusted and Poch have multiple chances to do so. Instead he always went back to the old faithful styling of Kieran Trippier being responsible for giving away a goal a game.

He is a decent player who will probably have quite a good career somewhere. He is never going to make it at Spurs though and at 22 he really should be moving on as soon as possible for his own sake.

His height would not be such a problem if he was stockier.
He just gets brushed aside, and he tries to compensate for this with early aggression, and he is not built for that either.
He's a winger at a time when sadly they are out of fashion.

His big problem is that he is a young defender who needs time to develop when we are defensively struggling and need to get other players game time

Poch likely knows way more about football than any of us and I'm sure he must have noticed some flaws and weaknesses in his game that most of us would have missed and that's why he chose not to keep playing him after that debut.

from what I’ve seen, there’s not a lot to get excited about with this kid.

however, I do think he needs game time to learn his game and his position. his positional sense doesn’t seem great. i think he needs a loan so that he can play some games, learn, and hopefully become a better player.

True but either send him out on loan so he can get some minutes and toughen up or if you don't thibk he'll get better, let him go.

He fell into Poch's twilight zone of training with the first team and basically never playing any competitive games. Of course his growth was stunted.

Onomah MK 2 essentially . When he finally gets to go on loan like Josh, he would have regressed so much it wont matter

Worst player on the pitch against Bayern.

Still worth persevering with, as we’ve all seen what he can do when he’s playing well.

It's a real stain on Poch's last couple of seasons that our youth development went so badly astray. Onomah (for example) was an absolute star at every age-level he played at, KWP was objectively a better player 2 seasons ago than he is now (from what we've seen), it sounds like Edwards had attitude/application issues but that could've been sorted out in-house, he's doing well with Vitoria SC from what I've seen.

Never thought he was good enough for the first team, so if we can sell him to the likes of Brighton or Crystal Palace to raise some funds then I’m for it.

Was crazy that he wasn’t loaned out two or three years ago, he’s clearly got something about him, but his career has been stymied by mismanagement imo.

Any faint chance of him making it here disappeared as soon as Mourinho arrived. IMO he simply isn't big enough to play the position in this team so get what we can for him and hope he does well.
