The problem might just be that KWP isn't that good. If one of the pre-game mascot children invaded the pitch and marauded down the left wing, I'd fancy their chances of out-muscling him, or out-jumping. I'm yet to see the guy make a tackle. I desperately want him to be the answer, but Spurs has done a lot more for him than he has for Spurs - so the derision towards the club for some perceived slant against KWP is weird imvhfo.

This.

The guy is just to timid to succeed as a modern full back both physically and through his lack of aggression with and without the ball. It's a shame as I had high hopes for him but he just hasn't taken his chances this season.

Call me crazy, but if he'd had more exposure to first team football during the last few years, he might not look as nervous as a 40 year old virgin on the pitch now.

Willing to cut him slack against quality opposition but the colchester game really turned me on him. There were debutants in that game that looked more established and confident than him. He was so painfully passive. Has he played since then?

Not arguing with that performance, but many went missing that night.

Objectively, we all know he has ability. He’s just not playing regularly enough. We seem too risk adverse to play him or maybe he’s just nervous now to come in and take the flack.

Either way, as many will agree (I think) he needs a loan and regular football. He deserves one. Competitive games to get sharp and fit and confident. Without that he’ll do little for us in my opinion which would be a waste of talent.

I think he's good enough. He would be a confident RB with very good ball skills had he been played regularly this season and we would be in no worse position in the league. I'm sure if spanish was his first language however, and he learnt to never look Mr. Mafioso in the eyes or answer back, he would have 50 games under his belt already.

What should have happened with him is that he should have gone out on loan last season, there was no reason to keep 3 right backs at the club, that really messed things up for him. Even if he may not have made it here he would had a solid year behind him playing consistent football and we may have sold him to a Prem club and got some money for him, now he's just a nothing player who will probably end up in the Championship.

Joleon Lescott was on the Fantasy Premier League show the other day and was asked which player from Tottenham is likely to get a boost now that Jose is the manager- He said he had worked with KWP before and was impressed. Also Mourinho loves players who love defending so keep an eye out for him.

I've been reading various player threads and it seems like Jose is going to give a chance to everyone, I don't see it especially with KWP

He needs to play half a season getting kicked in the Championship or League One. And when he gets a chance with us he needs to actually be positive / proactive and try and attack in the last third ... recycling the ball back to our RCB or Winks consistently is not good enough.

This new tactic of Jose of overloading on the right side when attacking might actually be playing to KWP strength

I remembered in the youth threads they highlighted he was much much better going forward and now he rarely does it

Might be interesting to see him play a game or 2 and see what he can do when he is unleashed

I still remember the few games he played with Moura where he set up Moura for a few goals..his attacking play is intelligent be nice to see if he still has it

Hopes he gets chance at Bournemouth

Aurier has played very well the first two games under Jose so it's worth sticking for the time being. I don't see how KWP gets a chance at Bournemouth unless from the bench

Could move Aurier further up and let him play as a winger, with KWP being more defensive behind.

Otherwise no, I don't see a way in for him (if Jose doesn't want to rotate).
