If not playing as an inverted right attacking mf I’d prefer to see him as an alternative to dele just behind Kane rather than in for son on the left

Am amazed we haven't used Lamela more centrally. On another note I think it's time to part ways unfortunately his injury record proceeds him.

Although I have to agree with you regarding Lamela's injury record we need that type of player on the squad.....maybe " it's time to part ways" is a little O.T.T.
Some teams need a squad 'livener-upper'...almost certainly we do? Is there not simply a spot on our bench for guys like Erik?

I am a Lamela fan. I’ve always said a fit on form Lamela is in our strongest 11 , its really sad the amount of injuries he gets sentiment in football doesn’t wash as we’ve seen.

My suggestion for Lamela wasn't based on sentiment, but what he can do for the team.
