Personally think he’s lost a bit of interest in football and sitting in Madrid earning 60m+ over the next few years works perfectly. He can rock up and player for Inter Miami for the last few years of his career.

His agent is currently on Talksport and he just said Bale will not be coming back to Tottenham anytime in the future.

Yeah unfortunately the time for him to return has been and gone. Was always a nice thought that he would return to play in our new stadium and perhaps give us one final season with some good performances....but I think he is done now.

I think he runs the contract down and goes to America for a final pay day.

Jonathan Barnett comments:

"When his contract is up, hopefully he'll sit down with me and the family and decide what he wants to do," he added.

"Could he one day decide to go to Tottenham?

"I don't think so, no."

That has to put the lid on it. I totally understand why some fans would want him as on his day he can win a match single-handed. Also, he is a serial winner and could have brought a winning mentality to the team. That said, humongous wages, injury prone and questionable motivation so overall that money (however much DL was prepared to invest) could surely be better spent elsewhere.

Barnett will do whatever is best for his own wallet. Moving to us won’t be part of his plans.

I'm glad he's not coming back if I'm honest. His wages are crazy and he won't be anywhere near the player we used to have.

We need to move on and put this one to bed.

i think him not learning the language is a big thing about his time at Madrid, i lived in Spain around the time Beckham was there and at least he give it a go with the Spanish and he was well respected and always give 100%

Yeah I think the pace of the premier league has also gone up a notch since he was here, I think it might not work out how we would all hope it would.

We would all dream of him coming back and scoring his trademark gamewinners when we needed them but in reality I think it would just end up tarnishing our time we had with him. Time to move on and forget this one for good.

Let this be the last bale thread in fact ban any more transfer threads on upcoming windows he’s never coming back. Let’s not forget he was a fantastic player for us for years ok but also a bit of a dick feigning injury before his move, even Eriksen didn’t pull that trick. If he wants a move back to the PL in the future let Manure get shafted with his wages. We are doing fine without you Gareth

I think this is a generally popular myth about him, not helped by a Marcelo quote from some time ago. If you bear in mind that it's an absolute certainty he'd have had lessons at the start of his time there and there are a number of instances where he's interviewed or spoken some conversational spanish (have a look on youtube).

He may not be a brilliant spanish speaker but i think it's been vastly exaggerated to suit other agendas i.e. lack of motivation, integration etc.

I can understand, but it really is a case of heart overruling the head in people wanting him back. We won't have the player we used to have, he'll be on 3x the wages, and there's doubt that he can play sufficient games a season to really justify having him here over say a Lamela.

We need to let go.
