Yeah personally I find it just lacking in imagination, I mean I like Alonso but I does feel F1 is starting a new chapter with the young kids coming through. What is the point of Renault having a young driver program.
No wonder aitken moved to Williams

Anybody watch the race on the weekend? When Max went out I though oh well that's that done, guess the midfield will be interesting, but oh my what a race. Even the wife cheered when the 4.8secs came up after Lando crossed the line, and she hates F1
Was brilliant and Lando is a lovely, very down to earth lad, just living his dream!

considering what’s going on back at the office, this was certainly a huge lift for the team!

Bringing Alonso back makes sense. Even at his age he'll still be one of the more talented drivers on the grid and with the new regulations it should hopefully be a closer field in 2022. The only downside I can see is if he doesn't win the Indy 500 in August we'll probably never see a driver win the triple crown.

Vettel is going to need something to do for the next few years and, despite some issues, he is a fantastic driver.

Shanks, what has it been like there through lockdown? I guess there is real fear about funding, sponsorship, the sales of the super cars etc?

It’s been pretty tough mate, 1200 redundancies, 1000 contractors gone or going.
my job and whole team are being made redundant with a few tupe’d, but McLaren are working on overall structure to sustain the overall company and positive it will work.

tough times everywhere, ironically, the team have put a decent little package together on the track this year - confidence is high!

He brings money with him, in terms of sponsorship!!

Has he shown any interest in motorsport outside of F1? I would be surprised if he went for it but it would be great if he did. Always like drivers who mix it up with different types of racing.

As you say, tough times... sorry to hear about your role mate. Any chance of you being tuped by the incoming msp?

Took awhile to get going but an excellent qualifying session today.

Credit to all the drivers in those conditions, Hamilton is incredible.

A nightmare start for Ferrari. Vettel gets basically jumped by Lecrec in the first corner. Damage to the wing and Vettel is out. Minutes later Lecrec reports that his floor has taken damage and is out?

Not often you get to see 3 cars cross the line at the same time these days.

He is an incredible driver. He won’t be stealing a seat, if you want to accuse people of that look at the likes of Grosjean, Magnussen and Stroll

Hamilton has been imperious this weekend. 1.5 seconds quicker than your team mate in the rain, win by 14 seconds. Incredible. Clearly the greatest racer of all time imo

How does Hamilton's 6 F1 titles trump Marc Marquez's 8 MotoGP titles and Sebastien Loeb's 9 WRC titles? On top of that you have the different eras. Does Hamilton's dominance in modern era F1 trump drivers like Graham Hill and Jim Clark who managed to win F1 titles while also competing in other motorsport competitions? Hamilton is undoubtedly one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time possibly even the greatest but I don't think anyone can be labelled the greatest racer of all time because the diversity of motorsport means it's like trying to compare apples with oranges.

Yeah sideways mate, like service design stuff, rather than operational management, it’ll do for now!
