Top of the league :singing:

Top of League One courtesy of the most mental set piece hat trick I've ever seen.

How're things going at Derby County...

"Derby County captain Richard Keogh has been ruled out until the end of the season due to a knee injury sustained in a crash that led to two of his team-mates being arrested."

"Keogh, 33, suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and a suspected fractured wrist, after it emerged he was a passenger in the back seat of (Tom) Lawrence's Range Rover Sport which crashed into a lamppost just before midnight."

Crashed into a lamppost? Should have gone with rammed into a lamppost.

What a bunch of idiots...

Full statement from Derby County:

"The players were out as part of a scheduled team-building dinner with staff and while the majority of them acted responsibly and left at around 8pm and were not involved, a small group, including the team captain Richard Keogh, continued drinking into the night. They should have known when to stop and also ignored the opportunity to be driven home using cars laid on by the club, and chose to stay out.

As a result of an alcohol-related incident, Richard Keogh has sustained a serious knee injury that will prevent him from playing until the end of the season.

The players involved in the incident on Tuesday evening will be subject to a rigorous internal investigation under the club’s code of conduct and disciplinary procedures, but over and above any punishment they receive we will be expecting them to become involved with the excellent work the Community Trust does helping the communities we serve.

We have been very clear about our attitude towards alcohol and the players know that at certain and specific times of the season they are permitted a drink together as a group in a controlled environment.

Those involved in Tuesday’s incident know they will pay a heavy price for their actions, but also that we will support them with their rehabilitation back into the squad and team.

We fully support the work of our partners at Drinkaware and the unsanctioned actions of this small group of players is totally at odds the stance that both Drinkaware and Derby County Football Club take regards alcohol. We will be using this situation to redouble our efforts in highlighting the dangers posed by alcohol.

We would also like to thank the emergency services for their swift help."

Did anyone see that smarmy idiot on Football Focus. She looked desperate to make an example of a team and she did. Probably never seen a game of football in her life.

Wycombe beat Sunderland. Second in the league behind Ipswich. Darius Charles was match winner, an amazing comeback from injury hell story.

It lessens the Spurs blow, that's for sure.

Wycombe on the telly, 2-0 win at Tranmere. Nice Sunday.

Top of the league with two games more played than Ipswich but the same number as the rest of the top five.

I'd love for Gareth Ainsworth to stay on for a Championship season but I can't imagine a bigger club won't come hard in for him if Wycombe were to get promoted. It's a real miracle job he's done over the last seven years.

I didn't realise that Wycombe had that massive Akinfenwe lad from Wimbledon. He's got tekkers, but the mobility of a bus.

Mark Sampson charged with making an offensive comment. Includes racism, sexism and homophobia. This isn't the first time he has come under fire for this; and his previous sacking for breaching rules on relationships between players. Horrible man who ruined the England Career of Eni Aluko. Shouldn't be employed again and I'm surprised clubs still touch him after that.

Birmingham City have been charged for breach of EFL financial rules for 2nd time in 2 years...

It's hard to find a single Championship club that's operating responsibly these days. So many owners sanction wage bills higher than their turnover to try to reach the PL.

These aren't the most recent numbers but the picture is still similar. Very worrying, I hope we don't see more clubs do a Bolton or Bury but with irresponsible management like this...
