Senegal are a very good side right now, was just looking back through their results and in the last 2 years ( 34 matches) they have only lost once and that run includes a win in Brazil.

TBH I wish I have looked at that yesterday morning because they were a decent price to beat England before the game ( 7/1)

I mean what the fuck is Walker doing in the squad? Use this opportunity to move the deadwood on.
This was always going to be the problem with only giving TT an 18 month contract. No reason or desire to build, or worry about anything other than immediate results. In that situation 9 out of 10 managers will go with experience every time.

Haven’t really been watching but Tuchel appears to have lost his mind with the squad selection and it seems the performances have followed .

I get the impression he didn’t do his research on the players at all and just chose who he liked when he was Chelsea manager.

Did you really have to ask?

I mean unless I've missed that having a penis makes you a better official, what difference does it make?
Yes I do have to ask. I’m not commenting on their ability because the referee at least I know is very good I’m just wondering WHY we need women refereeing the men’s game when there is the women’s game? Is there a shortage of male referees. It just always strikes me that the only reason anyone thought we should have female referees in the men’s game is for political reasons.

It's pretty well known there is a cronic shortage of football referees. As long as the person is qualified I couldn't give a shit whether they are a man, woman or identify as something else. Their ability to ref the game is all that matters.

I'd respond to your question of "why?" With the question of why not?

A good official is a good official, so why shouldn't good female officials get a chance to work on a bigger stage?
It sounds like you're trying to prevent people reaching as high in their career as they possibly can, just because they're a woman.

I mean, there are male officials in the female game, why shouldn't it be the other way round apart from being misogynistic?

You may as well ask "why do we need a foreign person to do that job when there are plenty of Americans?".

It's dumb and restrictive.

I put £10 on this thinking I'd pay for a takeaway on Friday.

England never fail to disappoint.

It's so weird that Tuchel chose to reveal that his mum thinks Bellingham "can be repulsive". He said he doesn't want to dim the fire Bellingham has but imo it's not fire anymore, it's nothing more than entitled stroppiness. It was fire when he was at Dortmund but he's turned into a throbbing bellend since moving to Real Madrid. I thought he would be the golden boy of this generation but I'm really struggling to like him now.

I agree to be honest, tend to find him one of the problems in the team, as he isn't a team player, just seems he is there for himself and expecta the team to be set up around him.

Maybe harsh, but it's my perception of him.

He never came across that way before he joined Real, but the last 18 months he's come across as insufferable.

I was so impressed with him at Dortmund. I remember he did an interview after a match which they'd just lost, they had a big cup match or a derby coming up next and he was asked how best to avoid the his team-mates' heads dropping and he said something like "I won't let them". I think he was still 18 at the time, it was a real "holy shit, there's a leader if ever I've seen one" moment. Now he just flounces around, mouthing off at officials. I didn't think it would happen because he always seemed to be so humble and grounded but it seems like being a Galactico has gone to his head.

Edit - ok I've completely misremembered that interview, it was after they'd lost 4-2 to Rangers at home and it was the 2nd leg at Ibrox he was talking about.

His brother was similiar from a pretty young age as well in fairness.

But, you do need a bit about you to get to the highest levels, so yeah, whatever works for them I guess.

Cracking player is Jude though, just comes across as petulant a fair bit.
