I mean what the fuck is Walker doing in the squad? Use this opportunity to move the deadwood on.
He's supposed to be a short term win now manager, so he's got no interest in the future.

However, if Walker is the best option still, then things aren't great.

Along with Toney and Henderson.
New manager should mean change and new options, not reverting to the old heads who are clearly past it now.

It just looks like a continuation of boring and "safe" England again.
Not sure Tuchel has the personality for the job to be honest and it looks like he's going to need that to get the best out of the potential we have available.

Agree with everything said on this thread. Walker, Burn and Henderson are wasting spaces in the squad.

Tuchel is not impressing at all imo.

There is a lot of talent in the squad but working with players for a couple of matches is massively different to club level where you see them every day. Tuchel needs to figure out how to get the players to work together quickly or the World Cup is going to be an embarrassment.

What a thoroughly miserable watch England are right now.

Tuchel absolutely killing the feel good ‘vibes’ and serves him right for some quite frankly disgraceful selections.

Look far behind the likes of Spain, France and Portugal

Not sure Tuchel would be good at international level with anyone but Germany. very hands on and tactical but won't have enough time to get his points across

No midfield. Gallagher is just a runner and a scrapper. Rice can run about and take corners. Neither are capable of controlling a game. Just a matter of time till Adam Wharton takes his place in that team.
doesnt matter who the manager is, we are not really good enough to be anywhere near winning a World Cup. Won’t see his best team till Serbia away in September.

The cultural problem within the England set up is glaring. It's similar to the malaise at spurs at times. I think it's too comfortable and there just isn't the threat of losing your spot as a senior pro or if you put in poor performances but have some sort of name behind you.

National shirt needs blood and thunder, not just skill. Look at the teams who've won it.

England manager needs to pick a team not based on glory names. Players who will put it all in. Even if it means a drop in ability. As the sum may end up better. Otherwise it's just rinse and repeat of the same old passionless rubbish and soundbytes.

It's also bollocks making them all play this time of year when the season has just ended. I know they should take.a page from more passionate nations, but it's not ideal.

I am disappointed with Tuchel though. So far. Tactically and in terms of selection.

I was quite looking forward to seeing what Tommy T could do but after that squad selection and the last two performances...it doesn't look like much really.
Shockingly shit, he's gone for the old players again and the performances have been terrible.

Is it too early for #tuchelout ?

Hands up. I'm a fraud!

All I’ve heard for the last 25 years as you say is the ‘potential’, should have had ‘Arry in there 15 years ago and England would have probably won something.
Just glad i stayed with the cricket this evening.

Pretty poor performance from England.Have to ask though why are 2 of the 3 officials women? Do men referee women’s game; I honestly don’t know but I fail to see why women officiate men’s games. Is the next PC thing to have mixed sex teams? Baffles me?

You’re “baffled” by a woman refereeing a football match, but not by the idea that someone's sex/gender should limit their job? I’d be more baffled if we didn’t pick the best officials regardless of sex. If they’re qualified and capable, their gender is irrelevant.

The point of officiating at the top level is quality and competence. If a woman is good enough to referee a men’s match (and clearly she is, if she’s appointed), what’s the issue? The game benefits from having the best officials, full stop.

Seems like the problem here isn’t who’s on the pitch, it’s your view of who should be, and yes men do referee women’s games — and always have.

I’ve lost count of the times I’ve said on here that Spurs, at their worst, look exactly like England at their worst. Too many players standing still with their backs to the opposition goal, and too many passes played to feet instead of into space. And I’m sick of seeing a five yard pass to a player completely unmarked get passed straight back wher it came from!

Everyone is waiting for someone else to do something interesting. And Bellingham brings nothing to this team.

I haven’t watched a single minute of England under Tuchel. I really really dislike his squad selections, plenty of players more deserving of a chance over the likes of Henderson, Walker & Toney.

Players he should be looking at now with a view to the World Cup.

Same old shit, FA puppet.
