Best they have played all tournament and before that, that first half felt like watching a premiership game.

Fair play to the boys, another final, said to my kids they have no idea how lucky they are seeing England in two finals in two years!

Southgate takes England to his 2nd major international final. Is it possible that he's actually a good manager?
I think he’s tournament savvy and does what is necessary…. I’d say his record warrants being called more than a good a manager now.Venables, Robson, Erickson, Capello all have vastly inferior records as our national manager.

So torn.

Lucky, yes, but them they have won groups to get good draws.

Turgid football, yes for the vast majority.

Does he have thr players - 100%

So it's difficult to argue, he isn't for me, wouldn't want him at my club ad manager but he has actually united the players somewhat.

This was probably the most proactive he’s been all tournament so I want to give Southgate some credit, I really do, but honestly he just seems so ridiculously lucky. Every game is a coin toss. The margins are so fine between going out with a whimper and winning with an individual moment of brilliance. The final is going to be an ugly watch from an England perspective, but at this point you can’t really argue with the approach of trying to stay in the game for as long as possible. Spain are a much better team but arguably we have a much better bench so if it goes to ET and pens I think we’d all take it.

Have those that felt abit meh about the whole thing come round now .... or anyone still just not feeling it, despite the drama?

Said to my mate before the game that this would feel more like a Prem game than any of the others and that's why I was confident we'd win.

I'm trying not to get my hopes up, but that little optimistic voice in my head that I've beaten down so many times now keeps piping up "but maybe".

Three semi finals and two finals. Not a bad record, eh? Also back to back Euro finals. England's first final on foreign soil.

He must be doing something right..

Edit: and he's won penalty shootouts as well..

For whatever reason this tournament has been the one I’ve been least emotionally invested in.

Flying to New York on Sunday and will probably miss the final and at the moment I’m not that bothered.

That may change on Sunday though.

Presumably kane starts the final, but he shouldnt.
Really tough to know if Kane is really off the pace or just that the team setup means nobody passes to him.

Saka, Foden and Bellingham all want to score the goal. Palmer would try to find him but he only gets the last 15 or so.

He still won a pen and scored it, but we don’t seem to be getting the best out of him.
