This is exactly where I'm at.

Part of me thinks Kane is gonna bang in a hat trick and we are going to play fast paced, attacking football, even though the years under southgate have shown me that no matter who the opposition is, we just don't, we play slow, possession based, hardly going forward football.

We lose against better teams, in fact, every single top team we have encountered we have lost against (that I can remember) and I know Southgate won't change that way of playing, yet I still believe the team are capable of banging four past this dutch team...

It's the hope man...
Winner to you both. Nailed exactly what I’m thinking too. I’ve even bought myself the England 1970 black out shirt. I’m that confident. And then…….. I may have just wasted £30 on a shirt I’ll wear once cos of the bad memories. Typical England and Spurs fan hope, belief, and denial, with some hurt, pain and anger at the end.

Why do we do it? Ffs. Hahah

Surname, surname, surname, surname, surname, surname, forename, surname, surname, surname, surname.

Why?! And more importantly, why does it bug me so much?

Edit: twat is a United fan. Nevermind.
There are some players that go by the first name and most via surname, quite fun y when you start going through the names

Never a pen but class finish
Yes a baffling decision.
England will win this as the Dutch are all over the place in defence and timid in attack, acres of room for England to look good at last.... BUT should a certain player be subbed on at Left back...well then England will have problems... na na na na na na na naaa

Dont get this take. We see these challenges in almost every game where the defender leaves a foot in for the attacker to kick on the follow through, and it’s always given as a foul.
Romero is wondering where this leniency is for defenders on a follow through...

Well it shouldnt be. He's not left a foot in he's gone to block the shot with no intention of making contact with the player. It's Harry that has made the contact with his follow through. What should the defender do just get out of the way and let him have a clear shot just in case the forward kicks him?

When it happened I had no response except to point out that they’re given week in, week out all over the pitch. Arguing whether it should or shouldn’t be is pointless, at least there’s some level of consistency being shown.
I hate all this ‘the bar should be higher for a penalty’ nonsense...a foul is a foul whether it’s in the area or not.

I agree with that, I just don't think any of them should be a foul.
