How is England's starting 11 so consistently leaked the day before? Is it the players? Coaching staff? Southgate?
It is a player or several who hasn’t been picked and thinks he should. Player tells friend or agent, they tell the press.

Dickhead selects and names his team days before so the oppo can plan a nice way to nullify them.

I don't think opponents have to be very clever to figure out the starting XI, nor how to nullify them...

Southgate says Luke Shaw might not be ready for tomorrow.

Why the fuck did he take him? Shaw is a decent left back but hardly worth fucking our left side for in the hope that he might play in the final, which we won't even get to.

He won't be match fit anyway. He last played in mid-February!

Total negligence not to take a fit left back instead.

I reckon Slovakia will knock us out tomorrow night anyway. But if they don’t, Switzerland certainly will.

For it to have been worth taking him he needs to be involved tomorrow, even if just off the bench. Otherwise we are talking about the earliest realistic start being (haha) the semi-finals, and even then, chronically short of match fitness.

Been said before so won't do it to death, but Southgate has fucked up in not bedding in a proper LB replacement during those final warm-ups.

Yeah I’ve been bloody impressed with the Swiss.
14-1 ish to win the whole thing. They've been as impressive as anyone else and they're in the 'easy' half of the draw. Might have a cheeky tenner at that price.

So Southgate confirms Shaw still not ready to start, what the fuck was the point in taking him and zero other left backs!

The only player outside of Shaw in this whole squad who has actually played meaningful football at LB is Gomez, yet Southgate won't put him in. What's the point of him being there? And what's the point of playing a game with a whole side of your team out of position?

It's fucking maddening watching this guy ruin this brilliant team.
This just re- emphasises the stubbornness and ineptitude of this £5million a year manager’s tactical acumen. Here’s a thought, how about taking another left back when your medical staff / physios are advising you that it’s unlikely that Shaw will be ready for another 4-5 games, and if he eventually plays after a 4 month lay off, he’s highly unlikely to last 90 minutes.

You seek out 3 Palace players and you’re hardly going to use Eze and probably won’t use Adam Wharton at all yet in your infinite wisdom you completely ignore Palace’s left back Tyrick Mitchell… What a f*cking incompetent idiot !

Just read his press conference.

"You're probably about five per cent off where you'd like to be. Therefore you've got to be very careful not to throw everything out the window, lose things you're doing well and lose continuity and the confidence that comes from players playing together and the understanding that comes with that.”

He’s deluded. Does he really think we’re only 5% off, doing things well, we’re confident and there’s an understanding amongst players?!
My goodness.
Oh & this probably means Mainoo will be the only change.
What’s the definition of insanity?

and now we have the BBC pundits rowing back on the criticism of his tactics claiming that we’re so good in defence.
Is that the desperate hope that we’re clinging to. If and it’s by no means a given we manage to get past Slovakia with this style of play next up is Switzerland.

Southgate doesn’t seem to get it or is stubbornly trying to prove that his way is the absolute right way to win the tournament, but let’s put that so called defensive record of ours under real scrutiny.

Has our defence really been tested in this tournament so far ? I’m not at all convinced it has. What is he gonna do if we struggle or scrape past Slovakia and then we go 1-2 goals down after being pressed and pressurised the f*ck out of by the Swiss ? Shall we just sit back and play it cagey or worse still shall we play it cagey and just wait the f*ck before it actually happens ?

I’ll be absolutely amazed if this kind of passive pathetic shit we’re being served up gets us into the real business end, let alone winning the dammed thing, and who are the only ones who can’t see this ? Southgate and Steve Holland !

The pundits have been told to go easy on him and are not saying what they really think through fear that it will be seen as negative or not getting behind the team. Come on let’s get real, it ain’t good enough and this kind of negative one dimensional passive shite play ain’t gonna win the key games or this tournament and anyone with half a brain cell and honesty of calling it out can see that !

I just read the same thing. The only time we've looked 5% off where we want to be is after bringing on Palmer, Mainoo and Gordon.

There's having belief in your ideas and having the balls to stick to them and then there's being wilfully ignorant.

Well I’m prepared to admit I’m wrong. I thought we’d be found out by the first decent team we played.
