Welcome to the Jurgen Klinsmann Discussion Thread.

Jurgen made 56 appearances for Spurs scoring 30 goals over two spells with the club. In his second spell he helped save us from relegation with 9 goals in 15 games. Some say he's a legend, some say he isn't. Some say he'd be a good choice as manager, others disagree.

And that's yesterday's thread in a nutshell. Hopefully it won't be repeated today.

For those interested, there was no actual ITK yesterday. Apart from POTL standing by his previous posts on Vertonghen so nothing really to report on that front. We do not count the random mumblings of known fruitcakes as ITK. Well, not since Adie anyway ;)

It's all very quiet right now. The lull before the storm, you wait and see. Things will pick up very soon.

In other news: My wife was kidnapped and held to ransom last night in a case of mistaken identity.

The kidnappers mistook me for somebody who might give a shit.

Oh, so this was the "Daily Klinsmann thread", and here I was looking for the "Daily Redknapp thread"... My bad...

Anyway, thank you for the round up A&C! (y)

Looking forward to another exiting day wearing out my F5 button!

Because it's largely opinion/nothing new/a bit misleading. A little from each. Mostly nothing new. I don't think it was deliberately so but that's how it was viewed.

There's still time for one of those I guess. This morning, naming the thread after Jurgen seemed a lot more 'off topical'

Yeah so back to the Jurge discussion....

I kid I kid.

Another quiet day I predict, with little to be said about anything, maybe a few media stories linking us with Jurgen quoting "credible" sources! Didn't someone on here get a newspaper to run something once that was made up?

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO SIGN SOMEONE:cry:

I said a while ago I don't think we will sign anyone before the Euro's, at best maybe Vertonghen will be finalised but all other business will take place at the end of the window and probably after the season has already started (we've barely even sold anyone yet)

89 days? Fuck me that sounds like a long time.

I think the transfer window should only be open for 5 days. I think that's about all we can sensibly take on here.

For what it's worth, the odds on Redknapp to be next Chelsea manager have gone out a fair bit. Looks increasingly likely that they'll stick with Bob Matthews for next season so that's another avenue of the managerial mess potentially closed off.

They'd be crazy to sack the man who just one them the CL for a man who failed to qualify for it, especially just as a stop gap until they bring someone else in (might as well just keep Di Matteo until then)

It's not just us I don't see a lot of other movement. Shame that Utd, Chelsea and arsenal have already got their main signing in. Seems like we have a long way to go! The last week on here is going to be chaos.
