I wouldn’t get too torn up about the ‘levy’s usual tricks’ itk, we seem to get similar every window. Molto sale required.

That’s always GOAT ITK that uses that sort of language and we know why it’s written that way.

I said we'd cope fine with losing Walker, I think we will cope fine with losing Toby, but we will most definitely not cope fine by losing Eriksen. He has to be viewed as an exception, just pay the man.
I don't sense that this is just about money. Piecing together some ITK from earlier, Eriksen wants assurances of the club's ambitions, and not just empty promises.

We're already potentially losing two former first choice players in Rose and Alderweireld, making that three in two years. That's enough. Tired of seeing our best team in decades gradually falling apart before we've even really achieved anything.

So u think we can pay him what he could get elsewhere then?
Not gonna happen mate.

No but at least show some bloody compromise. No one is saying we have to pay the same as the Manchester clubs but we need to significantly bridge the gap.

We have to accept our place in the food chain unfortunately - hopefully the new stadium goes some way to rectify that.

Toby looks like he's probably off to Barca, and Rose maybe Man Utd

They are arguably the two biggest clubs in the world, and until we can deliver both trophies and wages - we'll always lose our best players eventually.

How do you know he isn't willing to compromise?

You sign that feckin contract Eriksen. It's took what feels like an eternity for some to learn how to spell your name correctly.

You just think you're going to just up and leave....think again mofo...think again.

Because the proof is in the pudding and all these players agents wouldn’t keep leaking stuff to the press...
So every single time there is a link in the press to one of our players its automatically down to Levy being stingy then?
Seems logical.

Eriksen is irreplaceable. Losing him would be a complete disaster and be the beginning of the end with this group of players and probably Poch too. Losing your second best player when we've got aspirations of winning things is laughable.

We're wasting hundreds of thousands of pounds on utterly useless players in this squad, I'm sorry but this idea we can't bump him up massively is a lie.
There are certain players in this team we can not lose no matter what it costs. I don't care if it means we can't recruit others, I'd rather have youth team players on bench to subsidise it than a squad of good to decent players which is the way it will end up going.

Can't remember who said it, but didn't it get mentioned that several players, and Poch, will be offered bumper contracts this summer?

I don't think it's one particular instance or contract that DL is worried about. It's the knock on effect of paying Eriksen £150k a week. If Levy does that then you have to appease Alli, Dier, Kane, Lloris, Son etc who i'd imagine would be looking for £100k plus a week. Then you've got new signings who depending on their reputation might want reasonable parity with that too.

I think we're just gonna have to suck it up and accept a 30/40% hike in the wage bill. Because the alternative is very grim and if we let these players go we're undoing all the hard work of the Poch regime.
