The Daily Express is a tease. It says Tottenham are hoping to persuade Gareth Bale to stay by telling him they will sign a host of big name players this summer. The top two targets before the transfer window shuts are winger Erik Lamela, who will cost about £30m, and Ajax’s £8m midfielder Eriksen and Spurs will also compete with Liverpool for Anzhi Makhachkala’s £30m forward Willian. Why not all 3 eh?

Personally I think that might just do it for the three midfield positions in a 4-3-3, but wouldn't be surprised to see one more come in.

Also I think I am fairly calm about the central defense positions now too. Of course this depends on the extent of Kaboul's fitness, but assuming he is ready to be eased back into playing full time, and also assuming Jan and Daws are both fit from the start of the season, I no longer have such a burning desire to see ITK on an established CB. A young up-and-comer would be nice though all the same.

I'm just hoping now for ITK on a left back (with Benny obviously going), and more on Lamela/Willian. And of course our Welsh friend signing a new contract. And some youngsters, particularly a striker.

Think this window has raised my expectations somewhat.

hopefully not, it should be £81m plus Contrao or Morata, if they don't want to include the later, it's £95m plus Contrao.
