Yeah but can't really blame Levy trying to get a good deal, considering the circumstances at the time. Very few clubs will wade straight in at the stated price.I remember reading a lot of press reports suggesting Villa would accept around £25m for Grealish but Levy was only willing to pay around £5m - £10m due to the Villa financial situation. If Levy pulled it off then he would be getting the plaudits but he didn't so then it was why didn't he just bid closer to the £25m they wanted for a player whom we had apparently chased for a while. I recall originally Villa wanted £45m for him. Regardless as Trix said it was complicated.
