You're right, Levy usually fucks up somewhere down the line. I don't know why some people think he can part the red sea.

Tomorrows the day and maybe our late start might do us a favour. When we see some of the other clubs up there we will be anxious to stay in touch straight away. No prisoners. Let's also hope for some shocks.

I do feel we need a new shot of ITK to keep us going. Some genuinely good and exciting news. It was certainly a difficult place to be in here yesterday. More Willian stuff would be good, especially if there is some real substance to it.

Not sure whether I'm feeling over or under par though.

Can't see them all materialising but I'd certainly expect some movement well before the Arsenal game with most of those positions taken care of on the proviso that Bale is leaving.

If all those players arrive, there are going to be some pissed off people in our squad.

The goats Willian news is very pleasing I'm torn between who I want more Willian or Lamela. Lamela will get more goals but isnt as creative Willians very creative but not many goals! I guess with Willian he would hopefully lay on alot of goals for our new star striker though. Hmmmm can we have both?

We need Willian whatever happens - some craft, guile and creativity for our team.

Lamela is just a direct replacement for Bale - much more direct

Willian also prefers LF, whereas Lamela is a RF.

So IMO we need Willian anyway, and then Lamela too if Bale goes.

Osvaldo and Adebayor on the same substitutes bench is a fairly terrifying prospect. You'll struggle to find two more suspect attitudes and potentially divisive figures in the game at the moment.

Those are the obvious options yes.

As I said I really don't expect that to happen but it's what we should be aiming for.

I sort of feel it's poised to go pear shaped soon, there's not a lot of window time left anyway.

Are you saying you'd rather have Townsend, Rose and Carroll than Lamela, Coentrao and Eriksen?

It's a shame that English players aren't very good at the moment, but we shouldn't just keep them in the squad for the sake of it if better players are available and we have the money to make it happen.

I think that's what we might end up with.

IMO swapping Siggy for one of Pjanic or Eriksen won't happen this window.

I also think we'll hold on to Ade for at least another six month, then go for a younger Baldini CF (rather than Osvaldo/Leandro). Unless we manage to get Morata in a Bale deal

i was kinda hoping the ITK we had that a defender was coming in before Palace would come to fruition, don't class Capoue as a defender, we need world class center back to deal with Kevin Phillips

I keep trying to work out our best starting team: without knowing the status of our defence and of Bale, it's pretty hard to do.
Without Bale in the side, we are weaker: I do not think Chadli is an adequate replacement - hence we need Lamela (or Willian or similar) if he goes.
With the current injuries in defence, we need one in there but (if Capoue is equally good at CM or CD, he can cover there) we have cover - I worry that Rose is not up to LB.
So, we need LB and cover for CD - if Bale goes, there is a more significant problem. If he says, we can kick arse!
