As an outside shout on Dragon's ITK, I think Jose and Joselu have crossed paths at Real Madrid, and Joselu has played for Stoke & Newcastle. He's having a really strong year with Alaves this season, scoring lots and very involved...definitely been their best player, which is saying something considering they're a bottom half side without much intention of attacking. Fits the bigger/battering ram type mold Mourinho likes.

Longshot but kind of popped to mind for me as I follow La Liga a bit.

FWIW, I'd take him, don't judge him too much on those spells at poor sides like Newcastle/Stoke.

Bruno to Man utd and now 2 top Championship prospects Bowen( Newcastle/Crystal Palace) and Ferguson( Crystal Palace) looking likely deals. Lets hope we aren't regretting not moving for them in a few months time.

dragon1: Of the small chance of a striker there is one other possibility other than giroud that I’ve not seen reported anywhere
He has played under Jose previously
Adebayour? Rumours PL teams looking at him for short term and he was under JM RM

Probably best to leave the Levy bashing until after the window closes. We've still got one of the best ITK people saying a striker is likely.

Yes, we've off loaded 2 players that didn't want to be here and taken up an option in a contract that was already in place ???

It's the Euros in the summer, I wonder when we'll hear the standard lines:

1. It's difficult to do deals
2. players are away with their international team
3. Clubs want to wait until after hoping to increase value
4. we had to wait until the big clubs finished their business.

Deja vu.

We have the best stadium in world football, best training facilities, 8th richest club in world with the highest season ticket prices in the world and we should be happy with a player that couldn't get into the Benfica team and a young winger from PSV. Both may turn out to be good but maybe I need to adjust my expectations somewhat to be delighted with players that would not have got into our team a couple of years ago. We've regressed massively and the fall from grace is hard to take, people applauding DL for his gross negligence is somewhat amusing.

Put this to rest and end all the guessing who. Eze was at HW yesterday, along with someone else. Not a big name, and young the second one. Stop then guessing who second name is, as was there to look around and nothing else.

Given the choice of Balotelli on 1/2 season loan and no striker, I'd take him. He's a clown and he'll get sent off at least once, but he's a physical presence and on his day (however rare that may be) he's a decent player who will score the odd goal.

He'll also provide us with some guaranteed madcap bullshit to keep us entertained.
