Can't imagine Levy is sitting there 6 points off 4th (and the financial reward it brings) in January, and thinking 'nah mate, its gone.'
Especially as their next 3 league games are away to Leicester, home to Utd and then home to us. Ok we have City to play, but then villa. There is a very real scenario where we could be on the same points or potentially 1 point off if we can beat them in that game.

I read dragon’s info: ‘fourth has gone’ as a reference to signings, ie. the potential fourth signing is no longer an option.

Did he confirm what he meant by that? As the table suggests we are somewhat back in the race...

Gard's saying "Emre Can has been offered to us again and club considering now. Might be better terms."
Can is surely the answer to the cryptic then. Given his relative lack of athleticism I can't say he fits the archetype of the ideal DM I had hoped we'd bring in, but there's little doubt that he would improve us massively for the rest of the season.

Well if we end the window with Can, Steve and a striker I guess we’ll all be pretty pleased! Thanks for the info guys!

I do remember liking Can a lot at Liverpool. Was a talented footballer but also one that got stuck in. I'd certainly take him at this juncture, guessing on a loan. Would certainly thicken up our midfield while Bergwijn and Jose/Piatek would add to our attack.

As far as January windows go that would be a strong backing for the manager, with further work to be done in the summer. Now up to Levy to deliver.

Piatek, bergwijn and can would make great additions.

offload eriksen, Rose, foyth, wanyama, kwp and get a loan for parrott.

then at least we can buy again in a more relaxed summer market, such as aarons, Grealish, etc.

The point of an agent is to represent your interests and shield you from any time wasters. So unless Spurs come up with something that Barnett deems worthy of Bale’s attention, it his job not to involve his client.
It is also the Agent's job to comply with his client's wishes. If Bale really wanted to come to us whether on loan or permanent, then it would be his Agent's job to get it done, obviously getting a mutually accepted deal. You cannot have the tail wagging the dog.

He’s a very good player and competent at both centre back and central midfield. He also got a good range of passing on him. I’d be very happy with this signing.

I can't ever remember being impressed by Can at Liverpool. If I remember correctly he played out of position a lot - a lot of games in defence because of injuries, something like that?

He doesn't seem to have torn the house down at Juventus, but that's a tough team to break into, let alone impress in.

I was checking the Juve forums on their view of can. They seem to rate him highly

Here's one of my favorite comments

And these weren't even the worst, so now I'm not too sure about Can as a dm

Can is going to Dortmund, I thought it was all agreed?
