I have to give credit to Rodgers - Liverpool really looked organised & Arse no doubt would be strengthened. City & United under pressure from expectations. Chelsea - well - tbh it will be run like a well oiled machine.

As for as us, we have talents in our new signings. I truly hope AVB the coach takes over now & produce results on the field. If he can do that there is no reason why we cant compete with every one else.

Agree with this. Think we have more to fear from liverpool than arsenal this season

In no particular order:
- great work A&C, Rob, ITKs et al.
- amazing window, ecstatic with the signings and as excited as ever to be a Spurs fan
- hate Chelsea and that Kia chump more than ever. Think the devil has shares in that team
- not sure loaning BAE makes any sense
- cant wait for the new guys to find their feet
- most over used word: "gel"

Capoue only being injured for a month was like a signing for us yesterday! Sounds silly but it looked like he was gonna be out for up to 6 months so its great to see he should be back in a month!

Can't understand anyone who moans about the business we have done this summer.

Thanks to the mods who as always have done a fantastic job.

Thanks to Levy, Baldini, AVB who made it all happen.

But I know everyone here will agree massive thanks must go to the Liverpool scouts who unearthed some great unknown players for us. (y)

Not sure why everyone is worried about a left back, we go forward. We had close to 60% possession at the emptycrates with a team that has played 3 times together, could put me or you at left back and we would still be ok, we play in their box.
And, we didnt have our new creative players Eriksen or Holtby playing on Sunday. Looking forward to one or both of them being in the side for the next game

All in all a wonderful window even with Bale going. Strengthened several areas. Once settled we'll be flying. Donation on the way this afternoon. (y)

Yes we've done decent business, whether we are actually stronger as a squad remains to be seen, very worried over our full backs though, we will be targeted there all season, hope they're up to it, strange over Benni, why let him go when we are light there? Not having that he couldn't fit in to the way we play, pleased with most of the signings, Ettiene looks immense, Soldado... Well see if it works for him when he gets some service, Lamela and Ericsson hopefully, but I have to say I'm glad we've kept Lennon and that Townsend has emerged as I'm very underwhelmed by Chadli, so it's lets have a go and see what happens, I don't think we've nailed on a top four finish like many here though, lots to be proved,

The Cryptic that never was: What with all the negativity, plus because I thought it was just so outreageous, I decided not to post the cryptic at all and having not posted it, there's little point in giving the solution, it'll only invite more angst and possibly provoke a few more cynical people into having a pop. We've got enough depressives in here as it is.

I can't remember doing that. I wasn't even around for large chunks of yesterday.

Was Sunday night as I recall, people were trying to guess who it could be and you kept locking the thread. Don't think you ever have the cryptic in the end though. May be wrong though.

So where's the place to be now? Back in Spurs chat I suppose?

Uh oh withdrawl symptoms alert!

I went through this last year. Post transfer window, everywhere else is a lot quieter and less goes on than here in the loony bin.

WE NEED TO SOLVE THIS BY PROVIDING CONTENT ELSEWHERE ON THE SITE!

Then the cold turkey after the window shuts will be more 'survivable'...

It was reported last night. Quite hilarious really, one ssn reporter was saying the deal just made it immediately followed by another one saying it failed. Madrid didn't submit the final paperwork as their replacement for coentra got nicked by benfica at the last minute. Man U claim they did everything on time and may see if they have a legal case - but looks unlikely
