I'm sure he turned us down.
He did, tbf I respect him for it, they'd just finished 1 place behind us in the league and he chose to stay loyal to them rather than just ship after 1 season, didn't really work out that well for him though so maybe this year he'll be interested

Especially with the reports of unrest in the dressing room due to the huge influx of French players.

Cabaye said himself we tried to sign him last summer
BedfordshireSpud I was curious to know why you thought that post was spam but I understand, unfortunatley I grew up in Befordshire and have witnessed the inbreds there first hand

Moutinho is going to Monaco most likely. Sad, but we really can't compete with them for players considering they have no tax burdens.

But seriously! Cabaye is pretty much leaving to go somewhere isn't he? I'm visualising him with us as Parker with vision and technical ability. Am I wrong?

I'd be surprised if our 7.50 plus David Bentley and a packet of crisps offer was accepted for him to even get to the point of turning us down.
Well I would imagine that we would run a grave risk if we put in 7.5m + THudd + Crisp packet, as by the time THudd arrived at Tyneside the crisp packet would most likely have disappeared and we would be accused of reneging on our contractual offer.

Yeah, Cabaye must hate all his countrymen arriving, he'll be well off out of there.

haha, but that isn't what I meant. Pardew has lost the dressing room due to the 13? French players unsettling the squad ... not necessarily intentionally but the original squad members are far from happy with the situation.

Especially with the reports of unrest in the dressing room due to the huge influx of French players.

Remember a couple of weeks ago Newcastle United banned Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards for writing a story about a French players vs everyone else schism?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...Park-put-in-peril-by-dressing-room-split.html

There have been a few rumours going around in the press that Cabaye is the leader of said clique, as the senior figure and established talent amongst them - that would be grounds to sell (although PSG are mentioned in that piece).
