Thanks for sharing this Breezer. Good news about the incentive; let's hope they can stick it to the goons.

My initial reaction is wondering what possible reason a PL manager would have to share transfer gossip with his cabbie. Then I realised it's Alan Pardew and the man is a complete bell end.
Yes and my cousin is Tottenham mad and was chatting with him the whole journey. Pardew said he's been getting it all week from Tottenham supporters lol

Not necessarily, a lot of the players coming from France to Newcastle are putting themselves in the shop window and have release clauses, don't know about Cabaye though.

Wigan Spurs original deal had Bentley plus cash... i was going down the old the comedy route of Bentley being shit with my reply :sneaky:

We'd really see the best of Cabaye alongside Dembele and Sandro. At Newcastle he's always playing as part of a 2-man midfield in a 4-2-3-1 and has to get through a lot of defensive work. Wonder how much they'd want for him? Around £15m would be my guess.

My mate is Newcastle through and through and has said Cabaye and Tiote have been awful this season ... yes they've had injuries but he (a season ticket holder) said they've showed nowhere near the form of last season.

Great piece of ITK. We musn't get carried away though, a bid doesn't mean we're signing him. It's probably about 8 million and David Bentley.

So, let me get this right, you thinks it's £8m plus David Bentley. So that would make it £23m plus David Bentley, do you think they only want to be paid £8m to take DB, think they'd want more than that!!! :(

I would be slightly more generous. I think he seems to aggregate the Liverpool ITK more than anything. And just like if you went to a Liverpool forum and summarized what was discussed here, most of it would end up not coming off.

That's not what he does though.

Same could be said of Newcastle in general this season, i think it has more to do with Pardews attitude/ability than Cabaye's talent..

I also know a Newcastle fan who's excellent to talk football with and he agrees that Tioté has been shit and wants rid. He still loves Cabaye though.

Is it just me or do all of us on this forum seem to overrate our youth/academy players?

There is some great talent in the youth team and I think a fair few of them have the potential to step up over the coming years, don't think we are overrating them at all.

Ok guys i have a lovely bit of ITK for you.

My cousin is a black cab driver and he just picked up Alan Pardew in Covent Garden.

He said the players and management have been given an incentive to win the game. Also Levy has put in a bid for CABAYE! Sticking point is the price.

This convo was via text so i don't know the full info just yet.

Oh and before you guys knock my ITK, I cleared this with Rob before posting.

Would cabaye mean no moutinho? Know we probably won't get him anyway but will be sad to lose the dream :(

Nice stuff mate. I would love Cabaye, love him. A midfield of Sandro, Dembele and Cabaye would complete the perfect skill set for our midfield.

If I could choose two top targets for this summer (with in a little reason) it would be Benteke and Cabaye.

Newcastle have just had the polar opposite season wise this year though.
I can see why he would want to leave the toon. Poor season, reports of divide in the dressing room, uncertainty over the manager. Also having lost ba, and links for players like Ben arfa leaving he may feel its time to jump ship.
