A few seem to have legit info but don't want the ITK tag so would rather remain anon.

If I were ITK, I guess that's the way I would do it.

I can imagine people like Ryan and JJ must get major headaches with fans sometimes.

Just want to check that you do know the Transfer Window doesn't officially open until 1 Juty.........so there is another month of the silly season to go

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's my understanding that Player X can sign a contract that goes into effect July 1 whenever we want, and the club can announce it then. Also, it's THFC, silly season never really closes.

It's Spurs... You would be lucky if its announced in the next 3 months. Levy will prob smuggle him over and make him work as an illegal Immigrant in the kitchen all summer to squeeze every penny out of the deal he possibly can. Only when the first match of the season is played and low and behold he is starting upfront will anyone at Spurs make an official announcement.

Correct, but most of the time before 1 July and the early bit of TW seems to be sparring time ie only a few deals get done.

I had hoped for Spurs to announce a deal or two early which had been done a month or two ago...but I'm getting resigned to the first deal being end ofg Junish, happy to be wrong though !

Asking for someone to predict the announcement of LD and just your general language/vocab. Not picking on you just wondered as to whether you were being intentionally satirical..

My personal opinion from all the ITK we've had on LD in the last couple of years is that personal terms are not the issue. Agreeing a fee with Internacional has always been the problem.

This Leandro thing

...is reminding me of the Vertonghen signing.
We knew for ages beforehand that Vertonghen was coming and finally it got confirmed.
It seems to me that with Leandro, we know for sure it was close in January thanks to Brazilyid's info backed up by Ryan etc and that it's probably a case of reviving that deal, something that has occasionally been alluded to in the intervening months.
Andre likes him, Big Dan has spent the best part of 5 years ironing out the final details and for all the rumour/ITK nobody has come out and said it ain't happening. So bare minimum , we're trying to get it done, more likely; it's all but there.
If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, walks like a duck...

May 1st: Grey Fox: if we still want him he will be ours this summer. There you go, my bollocks on the line.
May 11th: Jasper: Have we finally done it after a long courtship I wonder? Nothing more to add
May 12th: Archibald: Very close but doesn't really fill me with excitement if im honest.
May 18th: Jasper: we are very confident, just few loose ends to tie up. Let us hope it happens and does not collapse again.
May 21st: Roger Morgan: president of Internacional will be in for CL final and while here will talk with us about Damiao
May 25th: Grey Fox: Reading between the lines ... before June is out ... Leandro will be finished either way by then
May 27th: Jasper: Damiao ... highly close ... We expect it to be announced soon if no more hitches. all the vibes are that it will be ... as we seemed to of settled on practically everything, but have we not heard that before. If it helps, they were down about three weeks ago a full delegation and as far as they were concerned the deal was done
May 29th: Ryantegan: The same source says we are very serious about Villa and Leandro is all agreed.
May 29th: The Cobra: Leandro has agreed terms he's seeing Sandro over weekend too. He will 100% be a Spurs player.

JJ said we'd not spend the summer chasing him, POTL has said nothing about him.
They're all singing from the same songsheet, nobody is saying NO! and I concede that it's all a bit Jasper heavy, but surely:

I think this is very much the case. All the wrangling has been between us and Internacional, not us and Damaio. I would imagine that he isn't on anything over 40-50K right now, and would most likely be on the 60-70K if we got him without too many problems either way. Intermacional, however, clearly have an equally 'difficult' chairman and did have third party ownership issues to contend with as well.
