Not sure what alot of you self entitled idiots want?

We've just build the best stadium in Europe, which obviously wasn't cheap.

We had that very famous shit summer which clearly hurt us, but since then we've signed N'Dombele, Lo Celso, Gedson Fernandes and Bergwijn. All extremely talented and VERY young.

We've shifted the toxic deadwood this window in Rose and Eriksen.

We all would have loved a striker, a week ago you lot were about to kill your kids over us signing "shit" players like Giroud or Willian Jose and even Piatek wasn't worthy.

We didn't get any of them and the same people are all losing their shit, what a joke some of you are.

I don't post on here too much, for a reason, the ITK's have said SO MANY times how difficult transfers are in general, let alone in january. Loan options are best for bank balance which makes absolute sense.

It seems some of you have no idea how these deals work and just think £30m here and there is water of a ducks back when clearly it isn't.

Also i'd love to know all these world class strikers we could/should have signed seeing as it's so easy? Not forgetting they should know in 4 or 5 months time they're going to be back up?

Giroud was the best punt IMO, sounds like everything had been agreed until like Herc said, Lampard vetoed it.

From the last itk, sounds like Mourinhois content which is good enough for me right now.

Sorry, Dad!

Perhaps Levy has warn my expectations down over the years, but I’m well pleased with the window. No, the remaining weaknesses at fb and dm will ensure we don’t top 4, but I am hopeful these will be addressed in the summer and next season will be exciting.

Form and fitness of Ndombele Ali and of course Kane will be crucial.

We heard from multiple sources that Poch was happy in the 2018 summer transfer window when we didn't sign anyone, look how that turned out.

Ultimately people will believe what they want to believe but if anyone genuinely thinks that Mourinho is happy about going through the rest of the season without a recognised striker I think they are very much mistaken

I wish I could winner this post several times over.

Am I right in thinking it will cost about £160m in the summer to pretty much sort us out? Providing no big players leaving

Eh? The point is there’s no point playing long ball if you don’t have a target man.
Eh? We have players who will thrive better along the ground and 2 of the best centre midfielders to carry the ball forward from midfield. We should play to that strength and the new signings only add to that. Hell even when Kane is fit he's best with the ball to his feet.

Eddie Howe is probably unhappy Bournemouth didn't sign Messi. Mourinho does not own Tottenham, he has no right to demand what we do outside of the commitments that his boss has made to him and even if they are breached his options are limited to getting on with it or walking away.

As a manager you are judged on points so of course he would want Giroud or whoever he thinks would possibly add to the tally, even if it is just a single point.

Levy's job is to balance that against what is good for the business in terms of £ not points. He is playing the long game.

As a fickle fan that is not invested in Tottenham financially I was desperate for a CF but with a business hat on is a gamble of 30mil to get Piatek worth it? What are the odds on us getting CL with him Vs. without him? Do I back a purchase that has a 50% chance of getting me top 4 and the money that comes with it or do I back the structure I've put in place to achieve that and beyond over a lengthy period in a sustainable manner?

We haven't taken some gambles that I think have cost us, we could have won the league when Leicester did, we failed to capitalise on a period when we looked strong and lots of others were weak but I absolutely understand why those decisions were made and I bet Levy is as annoyed as we are that we didn't seize those opportunities but then he'll sit back and think to himself when we had the chance to do more what were the odds? Did I make the correct decision at that time and I think he'll be content.

It's like poker, if you want to be a long term winner it means losing some by making the right decisions. Leeds went all in and won a couple of big hands, look at them now.

How many fans love the chairman of their club? Very few. I think people should be careful what they wish for if they want someone else.

There's been rumbles about a few players like Holjberg who only have a year left to run on their current contract. Maybe some smart wheeling and dealing will be in order to turn that number closer to £100m etc

I call it as it is. Knob heads don’t detour me. Even DL ITK himself thought he had Giroud in the bag, as well as Mourinho.

EDIT
NB: My post is response to a poster

Herc, no need to justify your position at all, I hope I speak for the majority on here, but I honestly appreciate everything you and the other ITK's share.

Some on here seem to revel in the doom and gloom and love a good moan no matter what is shared, but you guys honestly give us a slight insight to the club mindset and you don't have to share with us, but we all appreciate it. I hope the majority know, salt applied and just enjoy the journey.

Kudos to you all and thank you for making the January window so much interesting.

I'm donating some coin, as obviously I am drunk and the Mrs won't put out... Happy deadline/brexit day :(

agree with all of that. But you previously questioned why peeps moaning about long ball were now moaning about no target man. That's because they think long ball will continue, but without a target man it will be ineffective.

I think Giroud would have given us an out ball, perhaps for 60 mins per game, because we're all pissed off watching Son and Lucas trying to out jump towering CBs.

Hopefully we all agree the best way forward is to get ND and GLC playing centrally, so we can play through teams. Although we'll obviously have to mix it up v City, since their press is fkin awesome and Sanchez, Tanganga (especially when the ball is on their left side), Winks, Dier either shit themselves or hide.

If Levy genuinely thought we could sign Giroud from Chelsea whilst we’re battling them for 4th and focused solely on him, then he’s not the master negotiator we think he is.
I don't think Levy thought that at all.
But he was right to think quite a lot of spurs fans would believe it, and so focus on how unlucky we were with this signing, rather than start questioning why we didn't have other options. He knows his customers well.

As an added bonus, Giroud has been stitched up like a kipper. Chelsea fans will not take kindly to him attempting to join us of all clubs. Fat Frank would now be brave to bring him on, even in the last 10 mins of a game. It is a shame we couldn't have done this to one of their better players.

So around 78m net spend in the summer window, and now 36m net in the winter.
Not sure we can complain about the financial side of it if we keep this up going forward.
Whether we target the right players are another matter.

Glad Chelsea didn’t strengthen during this window whilst we, at least, did.

we’re going to have a better, although only slightly, squad for the second half of the season than we did in the first half. Chelsea will basically have the same team. Now I’m a little bit more confident of our chances of overtaking them.

Mou might be happy as it takes the pressure off him for the rest of the season. With no recognised striker, there's little chance we can get top 4.. that isn't his fault and it means he can relax, try some players & formations out and prep for the summer. Same goes for the players. Pressure's off!

I wonder if he's secretly a little bit looking forward to a year with no European football as well. Get the squad sorted in the summer early (I know, unlikely), get a solid preseason in and focus on the league and domestics - with no major distractions and more rest for Kane & co.

Just a theory.

No, it’s because Mourinho said himself he’d prefer to have signed a striker.

Would recommend the full 23 minute - I’d describe as jovial - presser for your next YouTube adventure, Tibsy old sport. Much love.

Chairman will come and go, i have supported tottenham while we had scholar, sugar and now levy. The club is in the best position its ever been. Financially stable, best stadium in Europe, best facilities and squad of young players and a proven manager. If you cant love that then i dont know what you can love...yes we needed a striker but it could be worse
