We had Slimiani, King and in the last hour the Nigerian, all who both us and United were linked too, rock solid intel. Would you have been more satisfied if we had signed him, I’m getting doh’d but no responses, great debate. 90% of all the transfer news is absolute bollocks, bollocks that make sure the press money, but allows a fan base to turn toxic. We see this year after year and yet we all still buy into it, some how immune to the bullshit. I include myself in this but I won’t beat my club for being stupid enough to believe the horseshit they feed us. I could go further but for my love of this forum I won’t.
I wouldn’t bother mate, they’re too busy throwing their toys out the pram and smearing shit on the walls because they’ve not got the shiny new toy they were promised! Having that said it’s very entertaining ?

Not sure what alot of you self entitled idiots want?

We've just build the best stadium in Europe, which obviously wasn't cheap.

We had that very famous shit summer which clearly hurt us, but since then we've signed N'Dombele, Lo Celso, Gedson Fernandes and Bergwijn. All extremely talented and VERY young.

We've shifted the toxic deadwood this window in Rose and Eriksen.

We all would have loved a striker, a week ago you lot were about to kill your kids over us signing "shit" players like Giroud or Willian Jose and even Piatek wasn't worthy.

We didn't get any of them and the same people are all losing their shit, what a joke some of you are.

I don't post on here too much, for a reason, the ITK's have said SO MANY times how difficult transfers are in general, let alone in january. Loan options are best for bank balance which makes absolute sense.

It seems some of you have no idea how these deals work and just think £30m here and there is water of a ducks back when clearly it isn't.

Also i'd love to know all these world class strikers we could/should have signed seeing as it's so easy? Not forgetting they should know in 4 or 5 months time they're going to be back up?

Giroud was the best punt IMO, sounds like everything had been agreed until like Herc said, Lampard vetoed it.

From the last itk, sounds like Mourinhois content which is good enough for me right now.

If Tottenham boys info is accurate and Jose is happy, then that's all that really matters.

We heard from multiple sources that Poch was happy in the 2018 summer transfer window when we didn't sign anyone, look how that turned out.

Ultimately people will believe what they want to believe but if anyone genuinely thinks that Mourinho is happy about going through the rest of the season without a recognised striker I think they are very much mistaken

Just a thought on lack of forward could the fact that Parrott hasnt been tied down officially yet be the reason hes not played. Seen an article saying we couldnt loan him as he would lose HG status and Hercules alluded to this earlier when he said Jose wants to loan those who are 18+ out. Also when Jose was asked about Tanganga contract after liverpool game he said. Do you think id play him if his contract expired in the summer. And then said he had a longer contract. Was just thinking that might be part of the reason not even been on the bench. I know he has said hes not ready but might be bluffing. we cannot afford to run the risk of playing him, him doing really well and then making silly demands or leaving to a bigger club. Hopefully he signs a new deal on his birthday and starts to get some minutes

My twopence worth...

We don't have a squad that should be expected to be top 4 so if that's Levys aim he's failed.

I suspect it's not as simple as that but being simplistic we currently have a squad that is only okay and a manager with a history of not being able to improve players. Don't think it'll end well.

Good post bro

Cheers

Also bugs me the amount of people that give the ITK guys shit as if they've lied in the past, especially you Herc, this guys said before many times, he says it how it is.

Most of us appreciate all the excellent and honest itk you give, so don't let the few knob heads deter you from carrying on with the honest stuff because I for one really appreciate it.

Hmm, I'm taking the "Jose's happy" info with a huge dose of salt. I don't doubt Tottenham Boy's sincerity but I do doubt that Jose is going to say what he really thinks at this stage of his tenure. Give it another year or two of missed targets and we'll likely find exactly what Jose thinks from the man himself.

Spot on. Been clear for a while a lot of crap is leaked out the club about how the manager is 'happy' or 'calm' about the transfers/squad. Mourinho is just playing ball for now as he has only been here just a little over 2 months. Summer will be the real test. If he doesn't get what he deems as adequate additions to the team, this nice guy act will very quickly change and he won't be afraid to kick off with one eye on the exit door, even more so if we have a dodgy start to next season.

Remember when he arrived, him saying we can't challenge for the title this year but can next year. This guy isn't in it to challenge for a top 4 place, but titles. Not because of wanting to leave some sort of legacy but more for his own ego and so he can toot his own trumpet. If he don't see backing is forthcoming this summer to allow him to do that, he'll set the the wheels in motion for an exit.

I call it as it is. Knob heads don’t detour me. Even DL ITK himself thought he had Giroud in the bag, as well as Mourinho.

Been out off line so just got back on didn't expect to see we'd bought a striker so not surprised, we would have been interested in getting another striker before Kane was injured but not desperate and I'm absolutely bloody certain we wouldn't have looked at any of the ones we were linked to just because he is so we haven't missed out on our dream striker and will do what we probably intended doing originally which is try for him in the summer. All in all I'm ok with the window Fernandes and Bergwijn are good recruits and a move in the right direction.

What do i want? Well, some options would be nice. Alas, we’re stuck with Dele being shoehorned into every game, a RW at striker every game, Winks at DM, and my personal favorite, Serge at RB every single game

No they didn't, they would be incredible stupid if they did, what bright person ever believes Spurs could have a Chavs player in the bag

I think we’ve done alright this window, not sure why there are so many upset about it. Rose and Eriksen gone is a big ✅ from me. Gedson is a very good young player on a seemingly good deal for us, win win.. Nailed down Lo Celso who I think will now start to really show us what we’d hoped for. Bergwijn was out of the blue, and some have said we didn’t need a player in that position, but I actually think it was one of the most needed positions. Our wing play and assists for our strikers has been pretty bad for a while, so I welcome this kid with open arms. Yeah, a hold up striker in Willian Jose or Giroud could have been a very good addition, but we can’t account for other clubs messing the deal up, that’s how it works.

So I’m quite optimistic, the only one that confuses me is Sander Berge, but I’m not totally convinced as to how he’ll adapt to the Prem anyway. COYS.

I'm happy with the window. I was expecting 1 or 2 and Lo Celso and we got that. OK not the most important positions to fill (although centre midfield became more important when Sissoko got injured). We're getting there with the rebuild but it was always going to take time.

I would have loved a striker this window but considering the issues we've had shifting dead wood in the past glad we didn't take a chance. If we had signed someone for the sake of it then it would only restrict us in the summer if we had to shift them to make room for another.

The Bergwijn signing was the one that really surprised me. I feel a lot easier without a centre forward now we have him on board. I think we'll do just fine playing along the ground when we start with Lo Celso and Ndombele in centre midfield.

People complained about the long ball football before the window opened. Now they complain that we didn't sign a big centre forward to get the ball up to. It's crazy. I'm starting to see us transition in recent weeks anyway and we're sitting back a bit more absorbing pressure. That will only benefit quick breaks along the ground rather than long balls forward.

Our biggest issue early on under Mourinho was how stretched we were. Maybe the front players still too used to pressing from the front while the midfield and defence sit back a bit more. Once we start playing more compact and getting used to the counter attack we'll be deadly. Bergwijn and Fernandes fit the mould perfectly so they were the right signings for the way we will play under Jose.

Eh? The point is there’s no point playing long ball if you don’t have a target man.
