That is possibly the most damning ITK on DL i've heard in years.
If true, the fans have been sold a giant lie. Rather than give us more financial freedom, the stadium has put us under forced austerity by banks.
Quite frankly this should be splashed across the sport pages.
Are you talking about A&C's last post?

LISTEN OUT PLEASE!

we are heavily governed by our banks, and the credit we already drawn down, and have with them. Reality is; we will spend sensibly. We have auditors etc, under agreement watching how we spend every penny. The bank want to protect their asset, which is the stadium. Unless we have an investor to come in, pay off everything, we have to be creative and frugal. I rather that than false hopes. So don’t expect summer to see us rack up 150m in purchases Net spend. We thought we would of had more sponsors:naming rights etc.

I don’t like it, but that is how it is.

I get the feeling Levy has dropped the ball on that front.

I totally understand that we have to cut our cloth on signings, we can't just drop £100M on a striker with crazy wages. But teams like United & Liverpool have maximised commercial revenue so that they can spend that kind of money. I'm not saying that we have anywhere near their international exposure/fanbase, but we were in the Champions League final for goodness sake, surely a stadium sponsorship deal could have been done when everything was looking good?? I suspect DL wanted too much £££ and turned away decent offers.......and here we are.

Finishing mid-table with no european football will clearly help secure the kind of deal he wants and so it will roll on :cautious:

EDITED: Nett spend of 150m. Should say can’t see us spending 150m, unless there is couple sails, new investment etc. Opinion
The only thing I don’t like with this is the point of at the stadium was to avoid these sorts of scenarios
I understand finance and position however it’s starting to feel a little like there will always be an excuse......

Even though i know we weren't going to do anything on deadline day, it keeps drawing me back. Probably in hope more than expectation. Looks more likely I'll be tuning into Sky News and Brexit at 11 tonight rather than Sky Sports News . Bitter? Who me?

No one wanted any of the options being talked about, but now they aren't coming, everyone is upset?
I think it's the fact that the options were bargain basement and lacked imagination and any semblance of risk taking. Even then the transfer team could not get any of those over the line. To be honest it's very disheartening.
