I think Bergwijn will be a good player once settled.

But what an absolutely uninspiring window considering the weaknesses in the squad.

Keep refreshing in blind hope, as is the Spurs way, but know deep down we’ve fucked it.

Just got to get behind the lads now for the rest of the season - especially those who will be forced to play out of position or in adapted roles.

All our targets are disappearing - or appearing on the big sky yellow banners saying staying at their clubs

If Italian companies and clubs are the problem, surely we can identify targets that just don't play in Italy??!

1. Llorente JM said no!
2. Benteke JM said no!
3. Can’t remember his name, but striker playing in Portugal-permit issues
4. Mario Balotelli JM was not against. But don’t trust dealing with Italian clubs after recent experiences. The offer was 6 month loan, covering his wages. If happy, talk in summer. His club started to play games, and we had not even engaged, so backed off
5. Willian Josè was offered as loan with option. Certainly NOT obligation! Hence us going cold
6. KP (Polish striker from Milan). Agreed ALL . Loan with OPTION. Changed last minute to wanting Foyth/Lamela in similar deal.

How on earth we are going to blame DL is beyond me!

Are you sure you haven't got the option/obligation part the wrong way round with WJ? If it was option I'm sure we'd have taken no? Thanks for sharing

Probably because we have known for a month now we NEED a striker and didn’t get one it’s negligence it’s a complete joke ! Also our recent matches we have been crying out for one

Hoping Levy is waiting for Sociadad to blink first, then nab Jose Willian at the last minute. I'm such a fool!

I'm sorry but there are obviously players out there who are available and who Mourinho does think are good enough. He thought Piatek was good enough, Giroud was good enough, that Jose chap was good enough and for all we know one or two others. All were deemed good enough, they must have been because according to the ITK we received, we were in negotiations with them, their clubs and their agents. So, good enough and available.

Its time people stopped making this shithouse excuse for Levy. When they are available he won't pony up so not only Is it 'difficult' to begin with, it's double difficult. That's not to say he should overpay left right and centre but you'd think now and again won't have us being careful what we wish for or doing a Leeds, we're not talking tens of millions here.

EDIT: But there's still a few hours to go so you never know

When I said ‘available’ I clearly meant at a reasonable price to us. We(the club and Mourinho) obviously didn’t believe Piatek was worth risking £25m on. We didn’t want to be lumbered with another substandard player. Similarly Willian Jose might be available but it would be ridiculous to pay £30m for a mid table journeyman striker.

if it is so easy to buy a striker in Jan why have the clubs I mentioned failed to do so?

keep stirring the pot mate ?

You're basically saying we can never blame Levy because clubs won't agree to our terms exactly. It's always the other club playing games.

Poor Levy, teams won't just let him loan their best players with no obligation to buy.

It's us that play games. Look at Lo Celso coming on loan to screw over PSG.

What about both? What about accepting that the world of transfers is quite difficult and be happy that you don't have to be involved in it?

Rare enough to read you having a pop at the top man A&C. If you lads (who are privy to a good bit more info than most of us) are that frustrated then that says alot.

José was so vocal about his desire for a striker and clearly gave his consent to a number of options but by sounds of it yet again our manager hasn't gotten what he has asked for.

Thing is that José won't tow the party line for as long as others had so Levy better be ready for the fall out
This is a new Jose who no longer seems to care and is just enjoying his 15m

lol what makes you so certain Man U and Chelsea are going to find the consistency to pop up to fourth when they have their own issues upfront?
I'm certain of very little. Certainly not the consistency of either Man Utd or Chelsea...

What I am certain of is that Chelsea are currrently 6 points better off than us - realistically, 9 points by this time next week. And I am close to certain that we've failed AGAIN to adequately equip our manager with the resources he needs to challenge effectively.
