I got a few texts as well saying we had done well with our transfers and they were jealous.

Honestly if we look at it as VDV/Modric replaced by Dembele and Dempsey then no you cannot be happy, however we are changing our style of play, and the tempo of the team. VDV love him thought I do, never lasted 90 minutes and wasn't the fastest player, I think the trasnfers are exciting rather than depressing!

Transfers announced by the official Spurs twitter today was, in order:

Rose to Sunderland (loan), Gio to Mallorca (sale), Rafa to Hamburg (sale), Lloris in, Dempsey in, and finally around 12.30AM Harry Kane to Norwich (loan).

Kept at present. Don't we have a 25-man squad at the moment? Maybe we have a deal to send him to Fulham pending Moutinho going through if all this talk about Levy being at the Lodge trying to sort it out is true.

Well that's not so bad then if we can get him fit it would be like another new player, and a playmaker type that we need. I can see sandro, hudd, dembele working as a 3.

Well the Mods confirmed earlier that JJ had informed them about it at the time, so perhaps ask them about the veracity of what he says.

Agree about Dempsey not being an AVB type though.

I reckon Dempsey will play on the right in rotation with Lennon. Perhaps also fill in the midfield and striker roles as needed as well. Versatile

I'm sure we will see a few different line-ups thrown on the pitch. I could see Dempsey playing as a winger as well. I think Dempsey will be able to really feed off of Bale's center feeds. The man is a master of getting to crosses and making solid contact.
