You're quite right. It's never the fault of Spurs management when these deals fall through. It happens regularly - but the fault always lies elsewhere.

If every window you're going to measure the big name players we sign against the big name players much richer and bigger clubs sign, then every window you're going to be disappointed. If you were a BVB fan you'd have been disappointed every window for the last decade, bar possibly the one they signed Marcus Reus, apart from him they've never spent more than £5m on player and they're richer than us! The difference is they've got a coaching set-up and head coach who believes in getting the best out of less fancied players who then become the next big thing.

What I think we all need to understand is that we're going down the BVB path, not only that, we should also understand that the BVB path is our only chance of success.

Dortmund spent far bigger sums of money on Mkhitaryan, Aubameyang and Immobile.

Lukaku was there last year. Welbeck and Huntelaar? Really?

This is general request - once the window is shut and we haven't signed anyone, fill your boots with your moaning (I would've gone to bed by then and won't have to read it).

Haha. Think he's probably talking about Negredo. But wages are an issue with him and he's likely to go to Valencia.
