Moutinho by all accounts wasn't our fault though. Same as Schneiderlin and Musacchio.

It's not that we're not trying, it's that these deals are complicated. It happens. People get so bought into the whole furore they lose track of logic and the real life.

We improved our LB depth and CB depth. We did not improve in CM or attack. In fact, so far we have gotten worse in attack. Siggy provided a goal threat and we got rid but did not replace. Holtby was a backup #10. Got rid and did not replace. Lennon and Townsend who provide absolutely nothing are still here.

Siggy/Holtby wouldn't have played enough this season to be "goal threats" so it doesn't matter. Also we know you don't like Lennon and Townsend but for fucks sake give it a break.

Hands up who thought we would get top 4 this season.. very few i'd imagine.. Most fans know we can't compete financially with Lvpool, Arsenal, Utd & the like, so we know it's going to take a few season before Pochettino has a squad that can challenge at the top.. For now we have enough to keep us in the 5-8 lg positions, which is what most people would of accepted in Poch's first season.
Of course there are some disappointments.. Sandro going, no attacking player signed, although I still think a wide-forward will possibly arrive on loan. It's going to take time to overhaul the squad & it can't be all done in one window.. so just accept it for what it is.
