No.

Someone said it will be like summer 78 again and we all started looking at double signings. Benteke in with the belgiums or leandro and paulinho or Bernard

Can't find anything on this site about it through the search feature, maybe the post got deleted? Probably safe to assume that the link to Osvaldo isn't very serious.

I'm still hoping for Junior Malanda. I keep reading things about him, and at 18, Belgian and a very strong/technical talent at 18 would be a great squad addition. He can always get matches with our U21s and form as functional depth for Sandro.
Good choice of player there Snarf, heard positive things.

Would still rather get Matthias Ginter myself, real class act and can cover DM as well as centre half

Random question, but has there been much ITK about us looking for a "strictly-DM" type of player?

Everything I have seen has Parker and Hudd sold with Livermore loaned out.

While having Sandro coming back to health is huge and Paulinho with the ability to function as a DM, I would hope that we would be looking for a guy to provide a direct backup to Sandro given his injury history.

I wonder if AVB would be happy using Vertonghen or Kaboul as the DM if Sandro and Paulinho were both out and playing Caulker or Dawson at CB? Would save us money or allow us to bring in or develop a youth.

Yeah, Ginter I feel his future is as a DM. In the U21s he was at fault for a couple of clear-cut chances, but as a DM those would be limited and he's completely capable as a DM.

Good call on that, and with DMs it's a little easier to diagnose talents as opposed to box-to-box types. I'm really hoping we do find a young DM talent to mold.

Yeah, but I believe that really had gone cold and it was mentioned recently that he wants to earn his spot for Bayern.

I'm sure I read somewhere that he was planning on leaving as he is way down the pecking order and that he has 1 year left on his contract.

I think Kaboul more so. Kaboul has always apparently been pretty open to whatever way to help the squad (CB/RB). And, I've always felt confident in him despite the position. I'd have full faith in having Kaboul at DM given his pace and technique with presumably Verts/Dawson at CB.

I hope so, he'd fit the bill perfectly. He's also got the raw talent to eventually turn into a very good box-to-box player .

Okay, my last on the subject:

The point is that unless you read this thread you won't know that LLM is a member of the site, that he has posted, or that he might be ITK. So searching his user name is hardly relevant. Nor is it relevant if info from users on other sites is put in this thread and doesn't make it to the RO. So while searching profiles can work (and I - and I'm sure others - use it) it is no substitute for reading the thread.

As for telling the mods and admins what to do, it's their site and the way they moderate the RO is fine with me.

Now for the banter: you're all ****s.

I don't really get this.

I don't know if LLM has verified his source/info yet or not. If he has then people who don't read this thread will be aware of him shortly because his info will make the read-only (as 99% of ITK already does).... If he doesn't verify it on the otherhand his info wont be going in any thread full stop I imagine (as has happened before, see the case of Spurvert last year). At the moment he is kind of in limbo/jurys out... This is why I suggested you may want to have a gentle word with the Bosses to clarify his status if you think his info might be missed. Then it can move forward.

Pretty much all other verified ITK's have their stuff put into the Read Only. The only exception I can think of is Edmonton with Stadium ITK, which goes in the Stadium thread in Spurs Chat and is free for all to view.

LLM is a special case, as he is a new poster, but apart from that I really don't think there is much of an issue about missing ITK.

I agree. Freund called him the most complete player he has ever seen. He has played in the number 10 role, such is he vision and creativity but has also played center back and mostly plays DM.

Would be perfect as he fills the DM role and the playmaker role. Very rare to find a player that can do both so effectivley.

I think Kaboul played there once or twice during his first spell with us and did well, unless that was at Pompey. Either way, I can't remember us being linked to any DM's this summer by any of the verified ITKS unless you count Paulinho.

Yeah, most definitely. The type of talent where you can limit his role initially but as he develops as a player and within the league you begin the expand his talents to really accentuate what he's good at.

I was bored so decided to check the SC ITK thread to see the timeline on Paulinho. Seems The Journo was the first to bang the Brazilian drum, followed by the Goat. JJ was the first to isolate him down to Paulinho. Now of course, when the Journo was talking about a Brazilian not named Leandro we were all on the Bernard train, so he might have been off on who the Brazilian was. But still some impressive stuff from our resident ITK's.

We might be signing lots of players.

We haven't actually signed any player.

We would need to get in a new CB if were to do that as we only have four and no-one I would have faith in at youth level at CB. Especially with Kaboul & Dawson's injury Records.

May I ask who is LLM and what info he posted?
