The way it's shaping up Chief Dan's gonna be holding a player jumble sale at the training ground on the 2nd Sept cos there won't be any buying getting done.

Everyone loves a good yard sale. We've got some slightly used items (Livermore, Falque) and some antiques (Dempsey, Parker). Oh, and you can't forget the item-that's-too-expensive-for-what-it-is in Adebayor! Whatever floats your boat!

I think most of these will come nearer the end of the window when Levy starts to relax his valuations as other chairman won't pay his extortionate prices.

Wrong- Other chairman will start to panic and realise Danny boy was being his usual reasonable self as always.

I know I'm jumping the gun but its really cool that there seems to be real intent to get deals done before the season starts. Just imagine a transfer window deadline day without sitting there to after midnight waiting to find out if were fucked or not.

Whoa. Let's not go crazy. I need that midnight madness. It's like crack cocaine to me which I do a lot of that night oddly.

Just watched the you tube vid of him. Never heard of him before today but he looks like a monster. Got skills too. Not sure I'd be happy with those cruyff turns on the edge of our box though.

Looks a young version of van Bommel.

I like the Alexis Sanchez train of thaught. Primarily because I want him and I want to make sense of the ITK linking us to him the other day... And the fact we have seemingly given up on Bernard.

So, it sounds like we should possibly expect another signing or two after Soldado is confirmed. I guess Chiriches should be considered one of them, but Grey Fox mentioned an 'A' signing. While Chiriches looks good, he's not an 'A' signing right now.

Now, if we can keep Bale, with the signings we might have already added (Soldado, Chiriches, Paulinho and Chadli) and with potentially another good signing in the works, there's no reason to think we can't challenge for the title. I mean that in the most honest and biggest attempt to be level-headed. Our squad is absolutely stacked at every position. This really could be an incredible season.

If we sign a player of Sanchez's calibre then we must be funding it by selling Bale.

I'd rather just keep Bale.

Different players with different dominant feet. I do doubt we could sing Alexis but if we did it wouldn't be as a Bale replacment... Worrie if we are in for Lamela.
