When we say NO TWITTER in here (Or whatever the fuck it calls itself), what we actually mean is post it whenever you like.

I'm astonished that you saw through our triple clever bluff.

Fucking hell, fair play 👏

…..and then I slowly realise we might actually go for Gibbs-White over Doue, Eze and Neto

Surely he shouldn't even be considered as an alternative to those should he? Doesn't he play primarily central? I always thought MGW was in the same conversation as the likes of Gallagher, as opposed to players for the 3 attacking positions.

Might go with another option if the three being touted end up not being good value
Don't mind that at all because we've only got a finite amount of money to spread around, with still a lot of work to do.
It's been said all along that our plans are fluid, with one move maybe depending on another.

I just checked and link is working fine. It could have been a temporary paypal problem or it could be something on your end blocking it?
Thanks, I'll try again a bit later

I always thought MGW would be one we follow up. He is very good and could fly in a more fluid system with better players.

He’s also really strong in the air, which would benefit us defensively and for second balls in transition.

The profile of those four players are also quite different…
I just don’t see him being a cheaper option, the PSR deadline has gone and they were looking for 70 mil for Murillo. I’m sure MGW would be near that. Also as far as Europe goes we are fine for HG now with Gray joining (it’s CT that’s more a concern) so it’s not as necessary as it was.

Even before we get onto the debate of him as a profile I don’t see him being more financially feasible then Doué or Neto (Eze is different). I guess there’s always the chance we try to send them some of our outcasts but still I would be surprised if they went for that given how important he is for them.

Always the chance that the letters on Rebrab's post were just a coincidence and I was wrong 🤷‍♂️

Let @Nine while nine have a crack at it and see if he comes up with something more conclusive.

It's not really a problem if we paid the cash.
Paying so much cash up front is a problem for almost all clubs. It will restrict your spending power on other players too when you think about how much you would spend on fees within the year.

This isn't something he's done before so until it's confirmed he was being cryptic, let's not manufacture one. In fact, it's probably time for a new thread anyway.

Walking away from all 3 would leave me very disappointed indeed. The value is significantly improving the first team. That will take a decent investment. Just get on with it!

Will make a donation towards the end of the window. Money is a bit tight at the moment.

The concern for me IF that happens, and i really do think we need to be patient at the moment and not jump to conclusions, is that all three at one point or another have been described as primary targets. Missing out on all of them would be rather disappointing to put it politely.

At the moment tho all three are still in play and we haven’t heard anything definitive about any of them. I may be very skeptical about our chances with Doué and Eze in particular, for different reasons, but nothing has been decided and we still might pull a rabbit or two out of the hat. We do like to work in the shadows these days after all. Just have to put our faith in the recruitment team for now.

It may be wanted 2, wanted it to be 2 of those 3, and negotiations are pointing towards 1 of them plus 1 alternative to stay within this summer’s budget.
