I think they know when to make the switch, and that’s when the target is no longer obtainable in the window they need them by. I take these delays as positives. In that the targets are still gettable. What we’ve signed so far is speculative with the exception of Timo.

I think most would definitely agree, the problem is if we dont get them....it'll feel same old same old.

Lets think positive and believe theyll get them in for Ange.

I doubt they really care where the money comes from as long as they get it. We might be able to offer more favourable terms as well IF we decide to go for him which we might not.

If that were the case, if we do come in then the price for Atleti prob goes up also which might result in them pulling out. I doubt Chelsea care where he goes they will just want the most they can get for him.

They can set the price differently for different parties, it's not a release clause

I really hope he doesn't come. I trust the club to an extent, but I can't see what he offers apart from lots of energy.

Unless it's a really cheap price and Skipp (and Gio) is going too, then it's basically a swap. I'd still prefer Skipp but it's not as bad then

I was up for it at the start to get Hojbjerg out. Grey has a much higher ceiling than Gallagher from what I've seen and I think Bergval might do from the little I've seen of him. Cant see how that makes any sense at this point.

Of course they can, but if Gallagher refuses to go to Atleti because he wants to come to us then they're risking missing out on the deal so have a less scope to do so. We clearly don;t want to pay 50 for him and Chelsea won't want to piss off the fans too much but they've shown they wil accept less and there'll be a middle ground.

I just don’t know how we would fit both in the squad, we are bloated enough as is especially in midfield. Maybe if we sell Bentancur but I don’t see that being an easy thing to do.

It seems things are progressing swiftly with Atleti tho so hopefully that gets done before we get too tempted.

This is spot on - it only makes sense if you move on at least one of the more senior midfield players, and we've not really had substantive ITK on that.

He'd sit in (what I've referred to as) group 2 really wouldn't he? Sarr wouldn't make sense to sell, and we've had no ITK. Benta, maybe be a little noise, but would be odd given he's just coming back to fitness. Bergvall looks a real talent. It's a no from me
