I was just thinking about our bench and how we're going to have at least 2-3 deserving players not even included. Crazy days.

I'm 99 percent loving this but 1% of me is gently sobbing inside because I realise there's a few players I really like or have been around a long time that may not make it for us and go leave the club pretty soon

This window has just been so surreal. Began with me thinking "Here we go again.....Gonna be linked with another ten superstars but end up with decent squad options like Shane Long, James McCarthy & McManaman"...............Jesus, was I proved wrong for once! I never thought for a single minute that I would be as completely non-plussed as I am to the thought of the mighty Gareth Bale leaving us and that is all down to quite simply a magnificent team of negotiators led by Baldini & the chairman of our wonderful club.

I agree I fell for the james mccarthy story ... I was trying to convince myself he's a decent signing:facepalm::finger:

Who? Do you mean players like Lennon, Defoe, and Dawson? If so I agree with you.

Hi guys, my donations are now up to date, £20 for Lamela, Parker, Huddlestone and Livermore (Even thought it was just a loan).

If I could ask if any of you could have my little 14 year old Yid cousin Callum in their thoughts I would really appreciate it. He fell 15ft out of a tree after a branch snapped and is fighting for his life with head trauma and a broken back.

Don't mean to bring the mood down but really puts football in perspective.

COYS!!

Oh Dear God.

Keep us posted mate. Thoughts are with him.

What more can possibly come? a left back and maybe another striker? Baldini seems capable of pulling off the impossible so how about Damiao?

Only opinion of course but I wouldn't be surprised to see us try for Baines either. He's getting on admittedly but he's a quality LB and it'd be great to see us have more good English players at the club.

thing is I think rose is the future! If he can learn from FC (as they are both wingers turned into attacking fullbacks) he could soon be playing for England

Good planning by levy to allow all other teams to saturate themselves with player in the past transfer windows and now we make our move

Wow. I hope for nothing more in this moment that Callum is on the path to the best recovery possible. And you're absolutely right, it truly does place things in perspective. I'm in medical school and had a test today on the musculoskeletal system, with a solid chunk of the material covering injuries. I spent a massive amount of my morning before the test looking for updates on the incoming signings instead of getting those extra minutes of studying in. I'm thrilled with our signings, but after reading this about Callum I'd give anything to have those minutes back if those extra touches of knowledge might so much as possibly make any difference to another person's well-being. I'm so sorry to read this and I hope the situation has improved, but just know that many thoughts go with you tonight and this incident will have moved and inspired someone to great lengths.

Please do keep us updated.

Yes and maybe one or two other ones who haven't been here so long. I could see the logic behind removing all three that you mention, eventually, but they have been a part of the family for a long while now and have all done a lot of great things in our first eleven really.

Still. Exciting times !

I'm still hoping we keep Benny. Believe it or not I was actually a little sad to see Hudd go too....but AVB seems to know exactly what he wants. My biggest worry is that there's been no news about him signing an extension to his contract.
