Have we ever signed 3 players in a day before?

The only time I can compere it to is when Arneson came in and we signed everyone. Difference though was we had barely heard of half of those players at the time.

This time they are all top quality. It's very surreal.

Contreao and another quality striker and we can challenge for sure.

If they all settle quickly find top form and jel as a unit .... a big ask

We could do a lot worse than going into partnership with Ajax, they're a brilliant club that does everything the right way on and off the pitch. Already have good fan relations with them anyway.

Yeah, I totally agree. I don't subscribe to the "we can win the league" thing ( although we could if Bale stayed) but if we get those last couple of players we can certainly make the top teams sweat a bit.

Funny, I absolutely said this about Baines to my mate...makes perfect sense...Everton and us have a good relationship, he'd be happy enough to come AND I could see us selling them one of Ade or Benny maybe , or even (depending who comes in) JD? I think at this point they'd love to sell him to anyone except Man U!!!!!! Let's see...29...prime of his career...he's be a fantastic signing...

Its weird! I actually posted in the Bale thread the other night, for some reason lol, that I thought we'd move for Baines on deadline day.

United still have Evra, the need isn't so pressing for them IMO. Its not likes Baines is 22 and a long term option for them. They'll get Fellaini.

I reckon we could get Baines. Would be fantastic as well, the experience and quality he would bring to our left hand side. A touch more experience wouldn't go a miss IMO, to this incredible young looking squad we have now.

Think Di Marzio has close ties with Franco so that's why he's called a lot right on us.

If he's said we've bid then I'd say there's a good possibility that actually happened.
