I think people are reading too much into The Goat's post about religion, it was simply to emphasise we are in for a St. Riker (striker) but i could be wrong...
Part of the Goats persona is to post info in a form of cryptic or clever pun though so that's probably why

Bit concerned who will play where

Erikson middle. Lamela right. Chadli left. Saldado
Top. Plus sig, holtby, Lennon, andros as back up

So who are we replacing I'm the starting slots? Who goes from the back ups.

It is a good problem to have- City have to deal with this as well.
Strength in depth- just not on Chavksi's level.

Players from Spain, eh?

Griezmann or Turan if we want a ridiculous attacking midfield. Ivan Rakitic is a solid CAM. Carlos Vela'd be cheap backup.

Spending another £40m will have all those 'they are spending the Bale money' folk in the media so very confused.

But, er, Bale's gone, and, and, and.. um.. more players?! I.. just.. don't... *booom* head explodes.

With all of these new incomings, it's inevitable that one or two of them will flop. Exciting times, and I'm looking forward to finding out who our big stars will be over the coming years. Still think Capoue will be up there, and possibly Eriksen too (assuming he's official by now). Just don't see Bale fitting in at RM, will be a shame to see him go.

Either way - the future looks very bright for Spurs.

For those of you who have a religious background/knowledge The Goat has heard that St. Riker has a buy out clause.

Hmm, this is reaching but I think the "St." relates to a saint. If you translate Damiao from Portuguese into English it becomes Damian. There was a Pope/Saint called Damian.

But that's not complicated enough is it?

Left-back, back-up striker, back-up right-back and possibly even a top-class left-winger?

Bar left-back I think we normally could go without these things if we're *only* aiming for 4th but if you are trying to compete with City, Chelsea and United and see who they have in those positions they are all better off than us.
Personally IDK whether a new LB is absolute priority as Rose imo good enough for even a title challenge, Im there are title winners and Champions League winners with players weaker than Rose as one of their starting players. As for Naughton I dont think there is anypoint of replacing I mean he is decent for a back up already no one has a strong back RB not even the likes of Madrid and etc.

As for those other positions I agree but they are positions and not names of players who will fill them. I think we are a Benteke away from being serious challengers
It's hard to keep a level head and poo poo suggestions because the ambition this club has shown is just truly remarkable.

I sincerely hope we all remember is summer and make hay when the sun is shining because I don't think we'll see a summer like this in a long while.
I agree, I mean someone suggested Draxler but had Schalke been knocked out it wouldnt of been a crazy suggestion actually a little bit but as we have seen over the years if you have the money and ambition players dont care about CL

Muniain has a 36 ME release clause, I don't think we'd activate that.

(just carrying on from other night ITK and the ITK about us dealing in Spain and looking for players with release clauses)

Im not sure how the religious bit of the cryptic makes sense in regards to Antoine Griezmann, but it makes sense in every other way. He's rumored to have a €30M release clause in his contract, he plays for a spanish club (Real Sociedad) that could potentially be in financial trouble (although they're in champions league and i havent heard anything about them having trouble), he primarily plays as LW but can also play as a striker, he's young and will surely increase in value in the future, the goat has previously mentioned him, etc.....

I don't quite believe this but apparently we are poised to spend at least another £40m.
