Surely Villa have renegotiated his contract that wouldn't include a buyout clause or if there was, it'll be mega bucks?

However, if it is him, oh boy!

Interesting. Yes, he may very well have negotiated a release clause into that contract he signed, could explain why it was signed so quick.

I suggested a few weeks ago that we may sign Benteke at the end of the window - knowing Villa's first three games were against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool whereas ours were Crystal Palace, Swansea and Arsenal, it would make sense for us to agree not to sign him until September 1st. Doesn't look like as mental a suggestion now, does it?

However, all strikers have some vague religious connection now I'm looking at it.

Maybe we're signing Roque SANTA CRUZ or GABRIEL Batistuta.

Another 40m would probably only take our net spend to something like 30/40m. Plausible with the extra 35m or so TV revenue income.

More signings would likely mean more sales so we'd recoup some more money as well

That's clearly a Levy imposter at the games recently, the real Dan Levy is held underground tied to a chair being forced to watch SSN, every announcement causes him to throw himself around wildly shouting 'Sell Bale, SELL BALE!'.

His captor brings him food and he implores the passive stooge to 'tell them they have to break even, financial fair play, for the love of god, tell them!'

They are looking to release him back into society on September 3rd.

It's hard to keep a level head and poo poo suggestions because the ambition this club has shown is just truly remarkable.

I sincerely hope we all remember is summer and make hay when the sun is shining because I don't think we'll see a summer like this in a long while.
