Good morning afficianados of all things ITK
Pinch and a punch, first of the month!
Today, the word of the day is 'backscuttle'
And so it came to pass, July arrived and the ITK's sprung forth, bringing glad tidings, hope and a cheese and pickle roll. For it is from this day forward that signings might be announced, fetching jubilation, merryment and orgasmic happiness to SC.
And why such hope?
First of all we have the Transfer Window 'offically' being open as of today.
Then we have the Confederations Cup finished.
ITK is becoming more plentiful and will probably increase as the players return for pre season
We have two whole months of transfer madness to come
What could possibly piss on our chips?
Yesterday started off with a bit of a round-up from Jasper on SO
Jasper said:
Hudd wants to and will go, subject to medical and his knees. Talking to three clubs and if it goes through will be a 5m package.

Parker will likely go on 2 year contract, 2 EPL, and some Championship clubs talking.

Livermore will go out on loan is what we prefer rather than sell. If we get our targets in time then Dempsey will be available.

CB Kaboul will have to be nursed due to his knees I believe, or ligaments. Thereis a concern there long-term, so expect us to be looking to bring in a young 17-20year old, as well as we want an experienced CH alongside.

We prefer to keep Ade and let JD go but all depends on where the interest financially comes from, and at this moment it is JD.

BAE not likely to be here and told he can go. May take our time on replacement to observe Rose and Fryers in Pre-Season.
Plenty to chew on there......

The Goat then endorsed some of Jaspers.......

Jasper is on the money regarding Parker & Championship interest. To put some flesh on it, The Goat hears that Rangers are very keen indeed although there are obviously other clubs in the frame. West Ham and Palace we mentioned to me. The Goat is also hearing £3m is the number
Harmonious ITK. Horn provoking.

Even BEN chipped in. No longer does he dwell in trees. They've invented long range listening devices and spellcheckers!

No idea on Croats
But as Hash will confirm was told a week ago
Brazilian done
The HUD Defoe Dempsey all for sale.
Bale agent adamant bale stays this season
Avb and baldini want 4 more and don't think the Croats included
Nothing ground breaking but all from top table
Go onnnnnnnn!

Then SC's very own JJetset waded in

Now i'm moist.

Sky Sports News are carrying a story about Paulinho: Chelsea defender David Luiz has backed Brazil international team-mate Paulinho to be a hit in the Premier League, saying "his game fits perfectly". Midfielder Paulinho, 24, is close to a £17m move from Corinthians to Tottenham.

Thanks Dave (y)

Like every couple, me and my wife have our little jokes in the bedroom...

For example, said to me the other night "Oh A&C, I do love you...but you have a tiny cock"

I can tell you now that replying with "Maybe it's your elephant sized hands you fat slag" doesn't go down very well.

So there you have it. ITK aplenty, the rumours are in overdrive and as of today, anything can happen at any time.

I'm not sure if it is worth adding to the RO but storts backed JJ's ITK up about the young Croats last night.

Absolutely thrilled with the Croatian itk. These are exactly the type of calculated risk signings we need to be making and I'll be ecstatic if and when confirmed.

Truly exciting times for us.

Backscuttle. Goodnight.

And so begins an exciting month. Hopefully. The Paulinho chip during last night's game was pretty cool, I'll add the vid in his thread.

whilst I agree that we need this type of signing, I cannot get excited about them. It will be a minimum two years until they get any real game time with us, but our fans wil expect too much, too soon.

For all we know we will have just signed gio and bostock mk2 (if they sign). chnces are that one of them will not cut it.

Yup, they could fail to reach their potential or they could surpass it. What I love about it is that we've given ourselves a chance. If we didn't roll the dice now with these two we'd never be close again given the oil clubs penchant for hoovering up players just so they can.

I feel quietly confident that a talented kid, capped at international level aged 16, would do well under Spurs and AVB. New facilities to use and monitor progress, an innovative group of coaches and playing time in tournaments around the world - plus training with one of the best squads in England.

The rest comes down to the player's own character and ambition.

Lets hope all this optimism comes to fruition rather than serve as a lesson not to get excited early!

All sounding good except a certain player's preference for Pizza. I want to know, what's wrong with Chick King and kebabs?

All sounding as if we are moving the right way though. Villa - I've never been 100% sold on the idea - I guess you don't know what you've got til it's gone. Hopefully if he is not ours then we'll have alternative thoughts.

I'm all for the talented youngster signings too and they should be made each and every season without fail, coulibaly springs to mind as one of these. A bit risky, possibly a pub trivia questions in the future but they excite the fans and can be highly profitable when it all comes off.

These two are a bit beyond talents though. This is a lay em down, in your face, statement of intent from the club IMO.

We're here, we belong and we're not going away.

Throw in Paulinho and Villa, snaffle Deulefeu and we'll have the title in our sights....

Assuming this is true, that means 1 brazilian + 4 more which means total we target 5 new signings and let 5 to go.

Paulinho, Villa, Soldado, 1 winger and LB.

Definitely worth tempering expectations. Anything can happen with any transfer so its not done until the ink is dry.

Interesting to see which positions we're looking at if we want 4 more on top of Paulinho.

Presumably two strikers a centre back and a left back, but what about another creative player?

Interesting times.

I'm more than happy to take that chance and I honestly do get excited by this type of signing, even though I know its a few years away from potentially proving its worth. I get your point re expectations though, especially in relation to Jedvaj but hopefully the majority will encourage and support rather than write them off early.

... optimistic smiley needed...?

Why is this funny? storts info makes the RO, and I thought people who did not see it last night, would like to know.
