I can't see us selling Ade. I think he has no excuse not to carry on his great form of the last 5 games. He'll have a pre-season and he is injury free. I think he and Villa could be a great combination. But for sure we do need another striker signing - one for the future who can also go straight into the team

Good point. It's hard to get out of the mindset of Harry's 'best eleven every game' mentality.

Yeah, I'm hoping AVB shows the same rotation of midfielders that he showed with his defenders this past season. Such as Vertonghen playing LB against the hoofballers and also just his general rotations.

Holtby is creative. I can't wait to see him prove people wrong next season.

Wasn't there a stat where he created the second most chances in Bundesliga before moving?

I was impressed by his rotation of our defenders last season. I got the impression that due to injuries he couldn't do much with our midfield at all, so had to work with what he had.

I'm really loving the potential fluidity as well. Verts, Dembele, Paulinho, Holtby, Siggy, Bale, and even Dempsey are all capable of playing in two or three positions. Not only does it give AVB options when picking sides, it significantly improves his options when changing things during a game.

So Paulinho, Villa, Jedvaj and Halilovic could all possibly be wrapped up this week. Plus Bale contract renewal.
Just Damaio and Rebic now, maybe a wide forward and extra cm (less urgent), and it's job done as far as I'm concerned.
If we could get this lot done before the first preseason game, it'd give us a real fighting chance of getting a decent start to the season.
Phew, I bet Levy's relieved that he's only got to finish buying over half a team of full internationals at unspecified expense in order to satisfy you that we'd have a half-decent chance of getting a good start!

Fuck me are some people never happy? "Just" four more players and a new contract for Bale and you still think after that we might just about have a chance to get a decent start?
