Paulinho, Bernard and Villa would be a great window. We have goals and creativity here. I do worry of our back line and hope Kaboul & Sandro manage to get some pre-season training

I watched 80% of the games and we created chances, but personally they aren't top notch chances.

We need someone or a couple for the matter that picks passes.

Dembele- sometimes has the pass
Sandro- beast but passing isn't his game
Lennon- through pass? What's that?
Bale- has it, but is forced to do it himself
Parker- I can pass back!
The rest- the same

Isn't this what we all want? A player cut from the same cloth such as Pirlo, Xavi, Iniesta, mata, and the list goes on.

Who would you recommend that we could realistically get?

Personally, I think passing is one of Bales weak points, he isn't that great at it.. Holtby can definitely pass and can pick out killer passes and so can Siggy, but we have just seen them play out of position..

That window would be very solid. I'd love to see a WF/Striker type that's younger come in as well, but that might be a little greedy.
But, with Bernard/Villa/Bale up front it would represent a lot of possibilities for individual brilliance but also some flair/fluidity. Paulinho would offer goals from midfield, Dembele would hopefully up the tempo and keep things ticking over in attack and Sandro would be our Fernandinho.

I share the same concerns about the backline, but primarily at LB. I'm hoping Rose gets every opportunity in preseason and if AVB does not view him as up to snuff, we move for a LB later in the window.

Why would we put someone back on the left who, if he had played the whole season in a free role, would have been on course for over 30 goals. Madness. Honda...he's barely got 50 goals in his entire career.

No I meant Honda feeding Bale, he will score even more... just look at the way Honda play, all feeding to the left with acurate passes.

I read somewhere that Benat will we at Bilbao next year, but agree he would be a good option if we could hijack the deal.

Thiago Alcantara would be the player I would want us to sign the most, followed by Isco, but our chances are very minimal of getting either of these two (maybe if no-one else bid, we signed Villa and they were desperate for first team football in another country).

I think Paulinho would be an excellent option. He might not have the passing skill Thiago, Benat & Isco have but his running (with and without the ball) would drag defenders away and open up more space for the other players, and his passing is actually quite good.

If we fail to get Paulinho, then Belhanda would be the next best bet IMO.

I honestly Believe one of the CM's above along with Bernard, Villa and perhaps another Striker, would take us to the next level and allow us to compete in Europe & the EPL.
