Well I dont know if this is relevant or not but for the first time in ages Bale is NOT on the cover of Marca tomorow

Let me guess, It's Princess Diana's grave being attacked by immigrants?

Oops, sorry, that's tomorrow's Express.

Carry on.

I still don't think that Bale will go but we would have a stronger team and squad if he was replaced with Lamela and Coentrao, especially if we still had cash to try to cheekily add someone like Ljajic.

I interpret JJs info as that the people on boardroom level and similar are simply considering the RM offer for Bale instead of just outright rejecting it. That does not mean it will automatically happen. It could still mean that no formal bid has been placed, and that there are still many ways that a deal for Bale could fail/be rejected.

If anyone doubts the veracity or quality of JJ's info, just go back through all of his postings in the ITK archive. People always cite the Saha/Nelsen information, but there are many more bits of information he has provided on transfer activity that has been very accurate. For instance, he nailed Lloris signing for us on August 31, mentioned the possibility of Rafa leaving for Hamburg, and mentioned on January 12th that the winter window would be quiet for us (when many thought we'd bring in another striker).

I've resigned myself to Bale leaving. It's much more important to me, right now, that we bring in adequate replacements and remain a team that can fight for the title. That means a clear upgrade at left-back, a high quality Bale replacement (Di Maria/Lamela), and a third quality player.

JJ--You previously mentioned the possibility of player swaps with Real, but is there any indication that Coentrao, at least, would be interested in coming to us? I've read many sources state that Di Maria wouldn't want to come, which makes sense on some level, but I'd think Coentrao would welcome the chance for regular football with AVB.

Lets face it, although it seems JJ's info is going against the tide of today's positive ITK.

On the whole (ooh er...) The other ITK from today is massively going against everything we've heard/read.

I find it hard to believe that people lower down the pecking order are being told Bale will stay for some evil ulterior motive?

What purpose could that possibly serve, other than further putting people's backs up against DL/Joe Lewis/Enic etc.

Doesn't add up to me. Especially if it's just to get a few extra £

Its kinda hard i guess dealing in the transfer market, if its 100% hes leaving for the amount reported, due to transfers being hugely inflated...could be wrong but i hazard a guess, thats why Soldado took so long to complete (y)

Ideally, Coentrao agrees to come as part of the deal, Di Maria rejects us so they have to pay more cash/include Morata... Then we sign Lamela.

It's a shame if di Maria won't come, he would push soldado s goal tally through the roof IMO.
