Bemused? Cheesed off? Miffed? Outraged? Seething?

Whatever you are we've got something for you this morning.

Ranging from pills to counselling, SC is here for you, like that frayed comfort blanket you've had since you were a toddler.

Here's some news to cheer you up. If that's possible.

The Official Newcastle calender has Andy Carrol on the February page, that'll cheer them up when they flip the page over this morning.

Kenny Dalglish has found the perfect replacement for Fernando Torres. The pony-tailed individual has similar style, strength and decision-making capability like the outgoing Liverpool striker. Sian Massey's medical is scheduled for Wednesday.

An Essex girl walks into the local dry cleaners. She places a garment on the counter. "I'll be back tomorrow afternoon to pick up my dress." she says. "Come again? " says the clerk, cupping his ear. "No" she replies. "This time it's mayonnaise."

That's it from me this time around, see you all again in the summer for more mayhem and madness. And the enevitable blank drawn in the transfer market.

Meanwhile.............If you're new to the site, drawn here by the ITK like a moth to a flame, why not stay on? You'll love it here.

Now then......

Every small donation toward the upkeep of SC is appreciated. Click on the link and part with the price of two pieces of chicken and chips......you know, like the bald twins sell at Chick King.......Actually, they are triplets, almost identical.....you really couldn't tell them apart. Apart from the one giveaway. Their sister has a Stalin Moustache!

Every bit does make a difference! Do it! NOW!

Bemused? Cheesed off? Miffed? Outraged? Seething?

All of the above.
I hope DL sits down all in the transfer department and says the window doesn't close for you yet, get out there and don't come back til you find me two strikers to replace to rubbish we have. they must locked in before the next window opens

THIS

We need to learn from this window... we've shipped out decent squad players and have signed 2 players that will be little more than squad players...

I think it's understandable to be disappointed.

We are playing terrible at the moment and our strikers couldn't buy a goal between them.

We haven't strengthened our team, our rivals have - massively.

Can we now secure champs league again? Very unlikely if I'm being honest, we are out of all cups, barchamps league. Pretty shitty start to the year when it was going so well.

But it's difficult to compete in a market where Andy Carroll costs the same as David villa!!
Conspiracy about moving from WHL, apparently a few players didn't want to come here even though we had bids accepted, gotta ask ourselves why really!!!

I'm trying not to be too Negative here but I can't help it. Am seriously concerned we've blown our one opportunity to consolidate our place in the top four. I think we need to go back to 442 with vdv on the right or left and pav and Defoe up front. I get the feeling Harry and levy are about to fall out too. Fingers crossed torres breaks again and suarez goes the way of kezman and alves.

Liverpool get 2 forwards, Chelsea strengthen in areas they need to and knew what those areas were, Man City strengthen, Sunderland strengthen, Villa strengthen and we are the odd ones out. I really hope our strikers start delivering. I mean if they're not, shouldn't they get a pay cut for not doing their job properly.

I dispair...

Even when, as a club, we appear to be somewhat stagnant in the transfer market it is still incredibly exciting. Yesterday had all the hallmarks of Spurs transfer policy a la Jol. I went to bed expecting to wake up to a Dawson/Reid style deal, and blow me we nearly did it with Charlie Adam. Not knocking the ITK (as I know the rules) but maybe this serves as a gentle reminder how far our supposed "in the know" fellows reach within the catacombes of the Spurs back office.

No where near the business end of proceedings!

But it won't stop me spending the whole August 31st 2011 hoping to hear someone, who knows something about a inbound flight from Madrid airport with Mssrs Diarra and Benzema on board.

But, as much as Crouch/Defoe/Pav are frustrating at times, they were the ones (minus VDV remember) who got us CL football last year. In fact, wasn't it Crouch whom we heralded as a hero after scoring that header vs Man City?

Rather than checking 'what we could have won' lets be happy we have signed someone called Bongani (!) and go to youtube and type "pienaar goal arsenal" and revel in that young lads genius.

It's not even the fact that we got Adam its why we left it as late as we did. For Levy just to have a casual conversation with Harry at 10 o'clock asking if he likes him or summin to then frantically try to sign him, and fail. Wtf.

Let's hope some of our current players remind us why we don't need anyone else in (strikers mainly).

Very underwhelming day and window but also complete madness of panic buying by clubs in potential crisis. None of it is sustainable or something that we should be involved in from a business way but I would of liked us to do for a romantic way.

so in a nutshell we didnt smash our transfer record, sign the defensive midfielder and have weakened our squad and still have dos santos, how totally underwhelming

I can't believe we went for Adam at the end.

The way Harry tells it, it's a case of 'may aswell buy somebody, anybody'.

Surely we've got a list of players we think we need, and no matter who else becomes available, if we don't think we need them, why try and buy them?

can i gloat at all those who said we leave it late???, we will sign some one on the last day. Well i won't.

i applaud DL for not spending over the odds and going really stupid in the last days of this window. In no way is Torres worth 50million or Carrol 35 million pounds. also if we did try for Aguero then the sum qouted for another midget is excessive. whilst he is quality he is not what we needed at this stage.

On the flip side of the coin DL and Hr had the period between the last window and this one to identify suitable targets, they were able to engage with the respective clubs and could have had 2 strikers signed up by december already. there may have been problems with getting clubs to sell in this window. one thing is for sure is that we need to identify targets as of now and have them signed up by may/june and NOT wait until august.

Hopefully by then, one of the ITK's get it right.......they haven't been anywhere close in the last two windows.

Just goes to show we have no strategy at all.

the worry now isnt who we can sign in the summer but who could be picked off from us in the summer if we dont qualify for CL football next season, with hindsight the faliure to sign a couple of quality players last summer when we had a great opportunity looks to have come back and kicked us up the arse
