You heard anything on any of the dozen Brazilians we're chasing mate?
Been told all summer to expect Leandro, nothing has changed yet on that but as I posted the other day, it's a deal that just goes backwards and forwards, fingers crossed.

On Bernard it seems very hush hush, which I usually regard as very promising. Opinion though

Storts on COYS:
Different source but I have it on good authority that Benoit will definitely be leaving this summer. Not certain on destination yet but he will be out the door.

You'd imagine we could get a decent price for him. £7m?

Stock is at the right level for Benni. Levy would have identified players with AVB that could be replaced with youthfulness and profit allowing maximum expenditure elsewhere.

Benni fits that bill in my opinion

As did Dawson last season

And with money saved on both Gallas and Bentley wages there is plenty in term did wages.

If imagine the same could be said for Hudd also with Carroll able to step in.

Not bad, Hopefully we could try for Shaw! few million on top.

Don't think they'll let us sting them again. Shaw says he's happy so why would he switch at the moment? Is he also experienced enough or do we use Danny Rose in the meantime? Always Verts I suppose, although we don't know the club's thinking.

I really like Benny, but if he'd be playing like he did after injury, then Rose should definitely get his chance.

If you check out the stats sites there's very little between Rose and Ekotto; Rose likes to run & tackle a bit more, Ekotto likes to play more longer balls and cross it more, but essentially, they rate pretty comparably across any number of stats & Ekotto was playing in a good team and Rose a bad team.

A fair few fans seem to judge Rose purely on his short period where he was thrust into the left back role at the end of that one season. Personally I thought he didn't do a lot wrong then & he's had a lot of time to evolve into a better player since.
He also has a tenacity and commitment that can be hard to perceive in Our Bennie at times & may play a more energetic and compact role in the team. We've often witnessed Ekotto's lack of dynamism when attacking; Rose could well improve on this.

Plus it's money in, which funds new players in, AND WE ALL WANT NEW PLAYERS, RIGHT? ;)

Rose was moved back to left back for a reason. Harry was the first to realise he could play there. The club wouldnt of sent him on loan to any club. It had to be to a club that said they would play him left back.

Edit- When i say Harry, i mean him and his coaching staff. Not just him. Before anyone jumps in. LOL
