Chadli can also play in a midfield 3 as the AM, it is where he plays for Belgium

Thats my point. With 3 up front Soldado would take the central role and so we'd need someone on the left and right and if we play 3 - 1 up front we'd need 3 players to cover that.

Willian, Lamela, Chadli and Bale would cover those positions. I see Townsend being sold as i dont think hes patient enough to wait around and he cant really expect to start with only 12 premiership starts in his career. Lennon i feel could do a lot of damage off the bench as him coming on and running at tired defenders could get us some success.

Not at all, here and now does not come into it! What happens if Bale had an awful injury which stopped his career instantly, would we play with ten men?

From the very second Bale signed for us there was only one guarantee, and that is the fact that he will leave us. It could be ten days or ten years. I have no idea, I only know we will carry on. Because we are bigger than any single player.

I would add I have seen better players come and go.

But he doesn't have an awful injury and yes he is still irreplaceable right now.

Any Spurs team from the current crop without Bale is a worse one and we can't plug that gap. A consistent game changer, who regularly plucks points out of thin air. There aren't many of them about ever in world football. A

lot of our legends weren't capable of the magnificence we saw last year. He was a highlight reel by himself.

You haven't seen a player go from us that carried a team like he did last year.

I want to reach Barcelona's level. Whilst the transfer window is fun; we have the capability to basically complete our squad for the next several years. By Barcelona's level I mean only making one or two additions maximum per window... It's imperative to have a tight-knit group who have a good understanding. We seem to have a basis for that which is good and too many wholesale changes is disruptive.
