Good morning clingons
Well well well. Interesting. After David Villa's comments last night the BSoDL went on red alert and did what I must say was a very professional job in deflecting or deffusing any potential damage the story might have had for daddy. The anti-Levyites dropped the ball on this one. Big time.
David Villa is taking the piss. It's obvious. We move swiftly and decisively when it comes to transfers and have absolutely no previous for fucking around or dragging our heels. It just doesn't sit right.

I'm sure i've read several very recent stories about how a player signed for Spurs because we moved quickly and didn't fuck around.

No, no, i'm not coming with you, where are you taking me? What do you mean 'somewhere where I can get better'? What's in that syringe?.......why the straightjacket? No! no! Noooooooooo .............zzzzzzzzzzzzz

Anyone remember Captain Scarlet?

This is the voice of the mysterons...........A&C has been put under sedation and will be back after undergoing rehabilitation and a course of education. On his return he WILL be towing the party line

Today we shall not be singing the Levy anthem, but the glorious hymn of our movement, which is sung to the tune of 'driving in my car' by Madness

Daniel Levy does no wrong, that is why we sing this song
He makes signings quickly still, bought a bloke from brazil
Transfer rumour fifty-nine just ignore it it's all fine
It says chairman on the door, he's never dragged his heels before
We protect him it's our job, if you don't like it shut your gob
Dissenting voices they are rare, cross his bastards if you dare

Today, the word of the day is: InLevyWeTrust

Yours

In Levy we thrust preferably a sink plunger or a hoover up his ass, to suck up more dollars for a striker.

I think people are being a bit unfair with sarcastic digs at Levy. Yeah he is not perfect and can be fustrating with his transfer antics but we don't really know what goes on behind the scenes.

I'm as gutted we didn't get Villa as anyone but we don't have unlimited funds.

Considering we have no consistent CL and a 36,000 seater stadium we are doing amazing to be with in reach of the teams above us with there huge stadiums, sugar daddies and regular CL footy. On top of this we have:

- One of the best Training Facilities in the world.
- One of the best young managers
- One of hell of a great young team.
- The most highly prized player in the world.
- Plans for an amazing new stadium that won't impact out transfer budget & will rejuvenate the area.

And all of this by living within our means! I think he had been fantastic for Spurs and hope the stays as chairman if/when ENIC sells. I dont think most of us realize how good we have it.

When I speak to other teams fans or interact with them on other forums, they consider him the best chairmen in the PL.

The David Villa stories have been disputed by LLM and others, the quotes are going to be genuine but the context twisted.

If Atletico came in and did more in 3 days it's kind of like being gazumped when buying a house, except Spurs' offer was higher and the transfer fee higher. It shows, to me, that he always wanted to stay in Spain, for the sake of his family and World Cup place (probably) despite the offer from England being more lucrative, and once Barcelona accepted Villa's wishes (and it *feels* like a favour to the player...) it was an easy decision.

The fee Atletico ended up paying is peanuts compared to what the Barca media was touting for Spurs. It's not even 5m Euro up front, it's half now and half later. Very far from the 11m they had us quoted next to.

He was at the Confed Cup and said he wouldn't make up his mind until after. Obvious, as LLM and others said, that Atletico had made contact beforehand but was waiting for Barca's acceptance.

Still, blame Levy if it's easier. It's probably more accurate to 'blame' the player for wanting to stay home and not uproot his family.

Didnt LLM mention on another forum weeks ago that Athletico were sniffing around / in for Villa too? Cant be a coincidence.

Players and managers more often than not just tell the media what they want to hear. We hear it literally 10 times a day. I understand wanting to believe the quotes that fit in with our rhetoric but i think people need to be a bit smarter than that.

So we would have got Villa if we had paid double what Atletico had to pay, thanks but no thanks, the fact that he went so quickly shows he wasn't fussed about us which is fair enough I wasn't fussed about him.
More important to do what the itk/nonitk says and concentrate on Benteke.

I knew a bloke who watched Captain Scarlet on a black and white TV, suffice to say he had no idea who the fuck anyone was.

On football manager I signed lukaku, lewandoski and hernandez in the space of 5 virtual days ( 25 minutes in real life ), it's not that hard to sign a striker after all :)
