Did someone send out a Facebook invite to an SC transfer rumour party. And forget to make it private??

I'm starting to think this is some sort of social experiment by A&C... what for, I couldn't tell ya! I'm sure normal service will resume tomorrow.

As for today's ITK... guess all eyes on Levy for the next week.

Interested to know why @Hercules and @Trix have such an issue with Donna Cullen. Has that been explained anywhere in this thread?

She's actually helped me out a number of times, and i know she has done a lot for the club and its supporters, so can't understand what the issue would be.

Im sure A@C knows that the club have a fair amount of knowledge about what is said in these forums.

You'd think someone in the club must have responsibility to monitor social media especially ones like SC. So the state of this thread and others in here and on other sites has to be sending out major alarm bells from a brand perspective. My read is that Enic will do what it can to protect the brand and must be highly alarmed at the state of the team based on yesterday's performance and the reaction of the fans to it. You would have to imagine that this will put pressure to bring a few of the deals forward because another couple of poor performances and there will be airplanes flying, banners and pitchforks. Has anyone heard anything on Enic's or the board's reaction to the past 36 hours? That would be incredibly interesting in the know.

Thanks Trix and Hercules for the info and when it's clear that you, who see far more than us are as frustrated, it does suggest a change in behavior or a change in personnel is an immediate must. While i'm appreciative of the business side of Daniel setting us up for long term success, there needs to be risk taken on the business side but also the football side. While we don't see what he sees and hence don't know the challenges the business faces, it's pretty clear that this is a pivotal moment in Spurs history. Whether Jose is the man or not, specific investments need to be made on the pitch regardless of money spent in the last two windows.

While it's normally thanks to the staff for all you do, this proves beyond a shadow of a doubt your value. When i joined SC after a short stint on The Boy Hotspur, i was impressed with attitude and class in here as it matched up to my expectations that spurs fans are a cut above West Ham, Arsenal, Liverpool, etc. hopefully today's thread is just an anomaly and not indicative of what are fan base is becoming.

IF people at the club read this, they are probably laughing at the meltdown on here and ESPECIALLY at the fact you think they'd move to sign Bale and be panicking buying over a single match.

Trix's info to me just seems like Bale would be a deadline day deal if anything anyways.

This thread has actually helped me get over the trauma of Sunday's match ?

We should do this after every loss.

I think the impact that fans on forums have, is more limited than you are making out. I hope the board, management and players are not reading social media or forums, or thinking about reacting to some voices on here but rather focusing on what is best for the club, even if it means making unpopular decisions. Bale needs to be treated as a potential bonus, because that's what it is, and frankly it's a bonus that could backfire too.

Yesterdays performance is worrying yes, but it's also not one that will easily be solved by a signing or two. That definetly should be the main focus of the management and board. The second focus is getting in targets that Jose has specifically identified. If that's Sorloth, which most fans wouldn't be happy about than go for it regardless of fan support. The club should do more for the fans though, namely selling cheaper tickets (particularly on the south stand) and making things better in terms of fan experience and support. Not spend loads of money on fans whims.

The ITK has been not exactly positive, but not exactly super negative, and this is not a pivotal moment in Spurs history, or particularly important to long term sustained success. The stadium is much more important for that, and getting out of COVID as financially well as possible is also important for our mid-term and potentially long term future.

I think Spurs fans on forums have by in large been a self-entitled bunch and there was a period where I would try and ignore forums like these, even when we were doing well, because it's not a nice atmosphere, a lot of threads are unreadable, Liverpool fans are super annoying but they are very good at getting behind there team and, generally, supporting them. We just like to have both highly unrealistic expectations and think all are players are complete rubbish at the same time. Making it a very confusing reading of the situation. I think Spurs have some of the worst fans in the league, which tbf is pretty typical for all London based teams.

Having said that, I agree that this mess of a thread really does serve to show just how important moderating is, and while I personally would love an unmoderated complain thread so we can actually talk about reasoned opinions on most threads, and not just venting that makes up an excessively large number of the posts on these forums, I am now fully for moderation on threads like these. As I came for the ITK and frankly, I think I came out of this thread more confused about what the information was than informed.

Honestly, I'm not against reasoned negative posts, but the 'oh so-so is shit' and 'strangely personal insult on player' and to a lesser degree randomly speculating what things mean to fit your particular agenda on body language or, I dunno, somewhere inside your brain (I have been guilty of the latter point on numerous occaisions) just gets excessive and all it does is serve to put me in a bad mood, when I actually want to discuss football, including problems and potential solutions and positives and negatives. Now the post I'm responding to is a perfect example of what I mean, I only agree with, maybe, one point in the whole post and while it does get speculative at points, it makes a good points, in other words it's not just a vent. Anyway that's my venting over and done with.

Today was probably the first day in a while where I've not checked SC in the morning with my coffee. (Probably due to the shit show yesterday)

So when I saw all the posts and links this evening I thought wow have we actually signed a striker?

But of course it was just everyone being a dick. 22 pages of pure bullshit. Thanks for wasting my fucking precious time!

The only thing I could come up with is that she has somehow been instrumental in persuading Levy not to pursue Bale and Trix/Hercules got wind of it?

Anyway...a new day. On the Spurs roller-coaster it should be a good one after yesterday's meltdown.

Going to post something vaguely football related (but still directing hate at Daniel Levy), hope that's OK with everyone...

I didn't renew my season ticket this year, after 13 years. I have a 450 mile round trip and now have a 1 year old, so it was always the plan but Levy's continued lack of investment in the footballing side, combined with his decision to sack Poch and appoint Mourinho definitely factored into it too.

Mourinho just isn't a Spurs manager. The football he has us playing is turgid shite (even when we win). We supposedly don't have money for transfers but can afford to pay him a ludicrous salary. That's all on Levy. He said only time would tell if it's the right decision, but from what I've seen so far he's fucked it.

In another world, we'd signed Dybala and/or Bruno Fernandes and Poch is still in charge having led us to a third place finish last season. Yeah, we'd gone stale under him, but at least we tried to attack.

As much as we need reinforcements, I can't help but think that if we had £50m to spend, I'd sooner jettison Jose and get Nagelsmann (or a similar style of manager) in. I can imagine Levy feels conflicted too - Jose wants players to suit his crappy football, but if it doesn't work, we're left with more deadwood.

I don't blame Jose. He's the same as he's always been, and plays the same football. I hope he proves me wrong, but I've seen nothing to suggest we're going to win trophies under him, and I'd rather we play good football if we're not winning much anyway.

But yeah Bale would be nice too.
I get the sentiment behind this, but it's clearly on the players now. No manager in the world would be able to get a tune from this squad at the mo, they just don't look like they want it. And that painful rebuild Poch spoke about us still deeply needed. One Dybala or Bale won't change things unfortunately.

One thing I noticed from All Or Nothing was Jose's frustration at the team for not pressing. Watching the games, it looks like they've been asked NOT to press but every episode it seems Jose's pleading with them to press. They just aren't doing it. And it was the same at the end of Poch's time.

There was that recent friendly where Jose and Sacramento were both screaming at them to press. Not sure what happened on Sunday.

Going by what is said about Levy being a " penny pinching, bald midget" and various other delights.
I don't think the board give a shit tbh

It looked to me that we did try for the first 5 or 10 minutes but gave up after that. The only one from the starting 11 that looks capable of that for any sustained period is Lucas but he’s so lacking in other areas it highlights our issues.
