I'm on this every second of every day, but the one night I'm not here we get Bale ITK? Fuck me.

Don’t destroy me but I’m a contrarian on Bale’s return.

I loved him at Spurs and he gave me some of my greatest moments watching Spurs (and I saw my first game in August 1961) but I’d rather have the memories than be disappointed watching Bale as he now is.

And I’d rather the club built for the future than looked to the past.
I wanted to rate this but there isn't an 'Agree but don't want to hear it right now. Let us have this moment, we need it' option.

When the transfer is somewhat close to being done and Bale is being reacquainted with the training ground, he'll get to the putting green we have there, become overwhelmed with emotion, only for Niko Kranjcar to pop out of the bushes and say "how can you leave this?"

Bale: "I cant."

It's not really about looking to the past. If he joined he would improve the team. And he's got a few years left at the top yet. Imagine a front three next season of Bale, Son and Kane.

Can people stop using betting sites as ITK please.

People are reporting a cure for their erectile dysfunction as a result of those betting sites. I think they’re providing a useful service.

Well, "they" are doing it in the ITK thread.
And the ITK is on the player they are posting information about. If they had said I have put a bet on it cos I love him then maybe that's not suitable. I see there is now a dedicated thread so we post all those things there but why try to shut down ITK talk in the ITK thread. I'm off now before I feel the wrath of the stick, I may be too late.

Looks good on paper but Bale is a sick note these days and on the decline compared to the Bale we sold.

Don't get me wrong, I love the guy, but reading through the Bale thread it feels like alot on here think we'll be getting the one man force of nature we sold 7 years ago when the reality is very, very different.

Seven years ago we sold the third best player on earth, we’d have no chance of signing him if he was still that player.

He is, however, still better than Son, Dele, Lucas, Eriksen, Lo Celso, Lamela, Gedson and Sessegnon.

The reality is that we just dont know what player we would be getting. The last couple of years have been absolutely no indicator of where he is as a player as Zidane has mugged him around. Despite all that he continues to drag Wales forward. We get he Bale who turns up for Wales we will have a great asset on our hands. It’s just a wait and see scenario

It could be, and he's still very quick. I'm sure we've also had ITK previously that Real's training methods aren't compatible with Bale's physique.

Also the fact that he can hit a shot on target from anywhere in the final third really helps as we cannot finish for toffee. Bring him back at least for that.

I don't think anybody thinks anything is guaranteed, or at least they shouldn't. Bale COULD be the difference for us this season. 'Could' and 'will' being very different words. Every transfer is a gamble but this is one worth taking.

Certainly an element of wishful thinking to it, but he still has quality. That sweet left foot won't fade for example, and injuries aside he looks in great physical shape. A change of scenery could well bring the best out of him, going on international duty with Wales seems to. The relationship between him and the Madrid fans is hardly conducive to great results. I think he'd be a clear upgrade on Moura personally if we can keep him fit. Much better footballing brain, and so much top-level experience. It would give the club a lift too, so I can see why Levy is entertaining the idea.

Could have a late flourish to his career like Arjen Robben at Bayern, another injury prone pacey player with a sweet left foot. If not it's an opportunistic loan that didn't quite pay off.

He's a different player now. Weaker in some areas, but stronger in others. He can still hit a shot and he can still cross a ball.

He played 39 games for Real in 17/18. 42 in 18/19. Not many this season, but that's not all about injuries. If we can get 40 games a season out of him it would be worth getting him in wouldn't it?
