The Millionaire businessman Daniel Levy doesn't understand that assets decline. Ok then. Can I remind people losing their shit that we've also had ITK from Trix saying Levy has wanted Jose for years. Pinch of salt with everything as always.

In all seriousness whilst it's nice to have insight with the ITK the only part of the ITK which we will be able to see whether it comes to fruition or not is if we get that DoF down the line. Him and Jose have spoken enough times about wanting to work together but the rest of the information isn't going to be provable and can't be taken as anything more than insight with a healthy dose of skepticism.

I think ITK’s personal opinions are becoming more noticeable in a lot of their updates...I may be wrong but I think it’s only Trix now that appears to post how it is.

Interest in Dwight McNeil is hotting up. He won’t move in this window but will likely move in the summer. We are at the front of the queue but have to compete with Juventus and Man Utd who are both very interested. Just need to hope they aren’t as interested as us. Really really good player.

Thanks for that. I thought he really impressed against us with that sweet left peg.

Shock as chairman who won biggest prize in club football is far more optimistic than chairman who had just reluctantly dismissed prized manager after 12 months of relegation form

State of this thread!

The quote about being back next year was made before they won the champions league, but just to illiustrate how consistent they've been in their pursuit of winning trophies, here's a couple more made in the last decade...

Here's a quote from Werner in 2011: "I know how sport can have such a great impact on your life and just lift you up. Our dream is to win trophies. We want to have more trophies in our trophy case. I know the joy. I've seen the pictures when you all came back from Istanbul and to see the thousands and thousands of people lining the streets in Liverpool... that is such a dream."

This is him in 2015: "We all know the challenge that we saw when we came into the club five years ago and I think we are proud when we walked into the stadium today and we showed Jürgen the new main stand that is being constructed. Until we win more trophies we won’t be satisfied.”

This is Werner before the final, in mid-may 2019 "You don't get a lot of roses for coming in second. Our focus is on bringing that trophy back to Liverpool this year. I remember when we locked in our position as one of the top four teams qualifying for the Champions League for next season, some people almost took it for granted because our goal really all year was to actually win the league.”

John Henry before Liverpool lost to Madrid in the final in 2018: “We can … outspend other clubs throughout Europe,”

I could go on - but there's clearly an ambition in leadership that ours lacks

I personally tell it as it is! If DL is in the wrong I say so. Nothing to do with agenda! The only agenda I have is our football club. I call it as I see it both ways. Not referring to poster, but tagged it do people follow.

Your wrong may differ from other people’s definition of wrong though.

Moving this to the ENIC thread before the two become indistinguishable.

thanks for the info, however find our interest in wide left players odd when we already have Sessegnon and Son.

Regarding Dwight McNeill, we tried in the summer, and thought we stood a good chance, only for him to sign a new contract. We then went in for another youngster that ended up at citeh. I shared at the time, and if not to the populace, certainly to some. I really hope it happens, and agree great player. We were on him whole of last season.

I checked and you are right. But same time we were in for him 100%! I thought contract was summer. We defo tried in the summer, and before. So probably where I am getting mixed up. I have no intel on him this time. Kudos to Tottenhamboy

This thread has taken a LOT of moderating tonight. I'm leaving this open against my better judgement but you should know.........The velvet glove has been put away.

Cheer up! Still expect the very least one signing before window closes;)

Thanks Herc. It's disappointing to hear that the talk about ambition by DL may be hollow. I've been generally quite positive about DL and JL as it seemed they realized the value (both personally and professionally) of turning Spurs from a major team in the EPL to a major team in the world. It almost sounds like they've built it up to be sold instead by bringing the business to the cusp of being a global brand. Perhaps its a little late in life but if this keeps up, it might be time to switch to following that game with the wicket things. Keep up the great work
